ABOUT COSTA MESA'S MISGUIDED GANG ENFORCEMENT AND LEFTY WORLD VIEW
[At least one CMPD gang officer was involved with the disgusting anti-Righeimer sign in the photo.]

Summary of this column: The Costa Mesa Gang Detail seems to be wrongly focused on white gangs--that aren't a problem in Costa Mesa-- instead of the real problem, which is Hispanic gangs.

Is this a sign of an anti-white bias?  You may know that many lefties consider almost all white conservatives to be racists and white supremacists.
---------------
HERE'S A LINK to the City Council Study Session Agenda Report for the City Council study session held on March 13, 2007 entitled Gang Status and Gang Initiative.

We were at the meeting.

If you take the time to read the report, you'll note that on page 3 it says there are "seven local criminal street gangs," in Costa Mesa.

What you won't read--anyplace in this report--is that these seven gangs are Hispanic gangs.

In fact, as we've written before, this report never once uses the terms "Hispanic," "Latino,"  "Illegal alien," "Immigrants,"  "Undocumented immigrants," "Brown people,"or anything similar that would indicate the race or ethnicity of these gangs.

The ONLY mention of race/ethnicity  in this entire report is the term "white [people]." And, it's used in a negative way.

On page 4 there's a long paragraph that talks about "white supremacist" gangs.  However, the report itself says there are no white supremacist gangs in Costa Mesa.

Then on page 6 we read: "In addition to combating the seven local street gangs, the Gang Detail rigorously participates in enforcement against other criminal gang elements, such as the white supremacist gangs." And, also in this same paragraph it talks about how a regional task force on gangs arrested 58 white supremacist gang members (throughout all of Southern California).

Does it seem that there may be some people in the CMPD who are anti-white or who have a skewed mind set of the type that we see with Great White Mothers and Great White Fathers?

Those behind this report just couldn't bring themselves to tell readers of the report that ALL of Costa Mesa's gangs are Hispanic.  They couldn't even bring themselves to use any terms that would even hint that these gangs are all Hispanic.  Instead, they threw in a red herring about white supremacist gangs that are not even a problem in Costa Mesa.

THERE'S MORE--THE COSTA MESA HIGH SCHOOL ASSEMBLY

As we've previously written, we were tipped off a couple of years ago that Costa Mesa High School students were forced to attend an anti-gang assembly at the school.

But, the tipster told us that the gang cop from Costa  Mesa looked foolish, because all he talked about was white gangs and never a word about Hispanic gangs. All the students knew the problem was Hispanic gangs.

After we got that tip, we made a California Public Records Act request of the NMUSD and asked to see the film of that assembly.  Our request was granted and we had a private showing of the whole assembly that had been filmed from the back of the room.

What we saw was a  Costa Mesa gang cop on stage in blue jeans telling the kids of the dangers of white gangs. He illustrated his talk with slides of various white supremacist symbols that we recognized as coming from a group associated with a religion, and which was involved in a matter a few years ago in which a San Francisco cop was leaking confidential police files to the group. That cop fled the country rather than face criminal charges.

Why is Costa Mesa spending money on white supremacist gangs, if they are not a problem in Costa Mesa? We might as well be spending money on Chinese Tongs (who aren't a problem here either).

Could it be that we are wasting our time and money pursuing non-problems in order to be PC?

Is that why the recent bust of Hispanic gangs in Costa Mesa was carried out by the FBI, with just a nod to the CMPD?

HEY CITY COUNCIL, USE THE MONEY TO BUY UP SLUM BUILDINGS!

STOP JUST PUTTING LIPSTICK ON A PIG AND PRETENDING IT'S IMPROVEMENT

In this Daily Pilot article [HERE] we read that the City Council wants to spend millions of dollars on street repairs and other items.  Swell.  But, street repairs are maintenance items. They are not real improvement.
They don't really make Costa Mesa that much nicer.

The millions would be better spent on buying up troubled, functionally obsolete slum buildings and turning them into pocket parks in the short term and then eventually selling them for modern single family homes if enough land can be assembled. This is what will really improve Costa Mesa.  This is draining the swamp.

MORE ABOUT THE GANG BUSTS IN COSTA MESA FROM THE DAILY PILOT

Look folks, the CM PRESS has been writing about this problem for years.

It is not going to go away by arresting gang members.  The police are reactive.  They can't arrest people unless they're suspected of breaking the law.

The real job of ridding Costa Mesa of gangs and criminals has to be done by the City Council.

The City Council has to drain the swamp.  They're the only ones who can do this.  They need to make Costa Mesa inhospitable for criminals, gang members and illegal aliens.

How does the Council do this?

First, by thinning out the slums.  The slums are the swamp. Drain the swamp and the alligators will leave all on their own and with no police work at all.

Second, by pulling in the welcome mat for illegal aliens.

Third, by not supporting the charities that feed, medicate, help house and pay the bills of illegal aliens who have a strong nexus with other criminals.  "Minor criminals" such as illegal aliens filling parts of our community (the Westside) create a fertile ground upon which more major criminals can operate and have a safe harbor. Look, gang members are not sole operators.  They have families and extended families that give them support and those families and extended families are often supported by the charities.
