But speaking of blight, don't tell me you were fooled by that nonsense of a senior center at the empty lot at the Mesa Verde shopping center... That is the biggest blight in town. Why is it still there? Because it is owned by the wealthy Segerstrom family and our spineless council doesn't want to challenge them. If that lot were owned by Joe Shmo, it would have been seized by eminent domain. What about code enforcement? Isn't that pig sty exactly what they are supposed to prevent? Can you check on this?
