Reminds us a little of Costa Mesa in that in Great Britain, it is suspected that many cops were leaking privileged information.

Many citizens in Costa Mesa are concerned that a few bad apples in the CMPD have been doing the same thing; not so much to the main stream media but to left wing activists and bloggers.

Hopefully, the new police chief will change things.

Head Start is one such program that needs to be cut.  It doesn't work. 

We could have told them it wouldn't work.  It is based on the false premise that all humans are the same under the skin.  We're not.  We're no more alike than breeds of dogs or horses.

STAFF REPORTS GETTING BETTER?

One of our complaints about City staff reports has been that they are too long and are full of filler bureaucraticspeak that add nothing to the reports.

We've even written that if we were on the City Council, that we'd send many of these reports back to staff with a note to redo them so that the essential elements of the reports were on a single front page, and the supporting data and arguments, if needed, were on back pages.

Well, as we've been looking at more recent staff reports, we note that they are getting shorter and that one doesn't have to search through dense paragraphs over many pages for the essential elements.

Maybe someone saw our complaints.

LATINO LEGISLATIVE CAUCUS RELEASES LIST OF DONORS

The Latino Legislative Caucus in Sacramento works for the interests of Latinos as Latinos. 

The Black Caucus and the Pacific Islander Caucus do the same thing for their people.

Why isn't there a White Caucus to work for the interests of White people as White people?  Why must White people have no identity and interests as White people? 

Aren't there statistics that show that White people, as a group, have characteristics that define them as a group?  How about the fact, just as one example, that White communities are usually very safe communities with very little violent crime?

The fact is that Whites are so beaten down today and afraid of being called racists, that they are like Blacks before Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat.  You do know that many Blacks laughed and sneered at Parks when she asserted her right to sit where she wanted to sit, don't you?

At that time, many Blacks were as dispirited as the American Indians before them, and they refused to assert their peoplehood and their unique identity as a distinct people.

Today, the new pre-civil rights movement Blacks are Whites.
