EXPENSIVE HELICOPTER PROGRAM OFFICIALLY GONE AS OF TODAY
The only two Costa Mesa cops ever killed in the line of duty died when one of our helicopters hit another one. A civilian riding in the Costa Mesa helicopter also died. But for the helicopter, those people would most likely still be alive today.
If a helicopter program is ever revived in Costa Mesa, let's hope that common sense will prevail and that the City will buy cheaper to buy and operate locally manufactured helicopters and that the mission as an eye in the sky is clearly enunciated. That is, we don't need an expensive helicopter capable of mountain rescues or one that can drop water on forest fires or to do anything other than to be a platform so cops can look down at bad guys in our relatively flat and geographically small city.

Berardino is disgusting. He is behind the current recall movement in Costa Mesa and his thugs are dumping all of those signs around our town. I don't care if he's head of the Marines, he's a union goon who only got this position because Labor owns Sacramento. Disappointed to hear such glowing things said about this awful man on this blog.

ReplyDeleteI also ask a lot of questions. I always have and I always will. I happen to believe the present good Councilmembers have it right on most issues as I understand them, and they have my support as long as they keep doing what I believe will improve Costa Mesa.

ReplyDeleteNothing Berardino does will ever improve Costa Mesa. He is a destroyer, NOT an improver. I also believe he knows more about Huy Pham's death than he is willing to tell. He was on the scene just a little too fast, and was a little too mad. It reminded me of a dog and pony show, instead of a bystander who was stunned by the event.
In other words, Berardino protested way too much to suit me.
