CM PRESS # 558

About those gang members busted in Costa Mesa...

Don't cheer too much, because they'll be replaced by others.  Why?  Because the swamp hasn't been drained.

As long as Costa Mesa has the welcome mat out for criminals and provides safe havens for them in the slums, the criminals will come.

There is a whole status quo and charity machine that has developed in Costa Mesa over the years, and which is largely on the Westside, that makes the area a hospitable one for criminals and gangs.  The charity bosses make very nice salaries off of their misplaced compassion, and they work hard to stay in business on the Westside.

SEVENTEEN ALLEGED COSTA MESA GANG MEMBERS WITH ALLEGED TIES TO THE MEXICAN MAFIA NAMED IN NEW FBI INDICTMENT

Unfortunately, the above linked Daily Pilot article does not give their names or where they live in Costa Mesa.

Wouldn't you like to know that?  Do you think it's more likely that they live in the slums on the Westside, in Mesa Del Mar, in Mesa North, and on Baker Street than in Mesa Verde?

Wouldn't you also like to know where they work and which charities, if any, they use?

And wouldn't you like to know how many are illegal aliens?

  1. I think this 99 person Mexican drug bust pretty much vindicates you Martin. This is exactly what you have been warning the town about for years.

The sad thing is that your warnings have fallen on deaf ears.

  2. I would love to see the retired ABLE system replaced with a couple of AH-64 Apache helicopters. Nothing would be more gratifying to see these awesome machines make chopped liver out of these criminals.
