Foley is hinting that she may try to stay on the City Council and also take her seat on the school board.

Is that what she's really trying to do?  We doubt it. 

We think she's bluffing in an attempt to try to get the Council to appoint Chris McEvoy to her Council seat.

We imagine Foley saying something like this: "You want me gone?  Well, I won't go unless you appoint Chris McEvoy to take my seat."

The Council should show some backbone (you hear this Leece and Monahan?) and call her bluff. In no case should the Council appoint McEvoy to the Council.

Then, if Foley really does try to hold both seats, it'll be time to take other action.

Consider two scenarios from that point on:

1. Suppose the courts say Foley can legally hold both seats.

We expect many citizens will be outraged that Foley is so selfish as to not give her full attention to one or the other. A recall may then take place. 

Also, the Council might then decide to schedule its meetings for the same times and dates as the School Board meetings. Which ones will Foley attend?  Hmmm?

2. Suppose Foley gives up the School Board seat and stays on the Council. 

No big deal.  She's better than McEvoy and she'll be the lamest of the lame ducks.  Even Leece may abandon her.

Foley's best choice is to simply go to the School Board where she may really be able to make a difference.

She has no aces up her sleeve except to have the two weak sisters on the Council go along with her.  If they show some spine and don't, she's out of luck.
