400 LB BLACK DIES AFTER COPS  PUT HIM IN A CHOKE HOLD

Many police departments no longer allow a particular choke hold (taught to Marines), because Blacks die from it more than Whites.

From looking at the photos, it doesn't look as though the cop with his arm around the guy's neck is using that particular choke hold at all, but is just trying to control the guy who was resisting arrest.  Still, Blacks are more susceptible to medical problems than Whites if the neck is struck or constricted.
