BLAH, BLAH BLOGGER GIVES SOME MORE BLAH, BLAH, BLAH AS HE TRIES AND FAILS TO INTELLIGENTLY ANSWER A COMMENT FROM JIM FISLER IN THE DAILY PILOT

We've put the relevant (ah, yes, we exaggerate) part of the blogger's comment below and give him our answers in [red].

We also make [red] comments after Fisler's comment. Fisler can answer this guy in his own way if he wants. We certainly don't speak for Fisler. Be sure to read the original letter that was about fireworks and all the comments to get the full context of things .HERE.

Notice how this blogger childishly sets up a premise that a reader is supposed to accept as valid by using positive adjectives in relation to those he praises and negative ones in relation to those he is insulting or attacking.

Thus, in the example of poor writing shown below, we see: "Jim Fisler...reprehensible!" and "The men and women of the CMPD...working hundreds of overtime hours to keep you, your home and your clients safe."

Notice also the style difference between Fisler's comment and the blogger's.  Fisler gives readers short assertive sentences in which he clearly states one fact in each one.

The blogger, on the other hand, rambles all around left field and throws in all sorts of goofy opinions, loaded and emotional (even hysterical--in the Freudian sense) terms, and unsupported conclusions in trying (but failing) to make his usual point that he doesn't like the improvements that we're seeing in Costa Mesa as a result of having--finally--an activist city council that does more than just smile and collect their checks after rubber stamping whatever is put in front of them by staff. Frankly, the blogger's comment reads like what you might see from an overly emotional young teen girl who worships Justin Bieber and who is angry at someone for saying that  Bieber doesn't have much talent.

First, here's Jim Fisler's entire comment:

Jim Fisler ·  ·  Top Commenter · Costa Mesa, California
Most cities reduced their police force levels during the latest recession and are now beginning to refill the open positions. [Right.]

Costa Mesa is making great progress in hiring more police. [Right.]

The ones that left due to the Mayor, if any, must really have thin skins. [Some were bad eggs.]

They don't report to the Mayor. [Right.]

The Mayor is only around for two terms max. [Right]

We are replacing any of those with new, eager officers who appreciate working in our safe city. [Right.]

Thanks to all the new and existing officers for their dedication to keeping us safe. [Yup.]

And, here's the relevant portion of the  blogger's failed attempt to shoot down' Fisler's comment shown above:

Blah, Blah Blogger
Geoff  West

Geoff West ·  ·  Top Commenter
[snip]  Heck, Chief Gazsi was in the field until after midnight that night helping to patrol and actually issuing citations! [How does West know what Chief Gazsi was doing and for how long?]

Jim Fisler, your backhand at departed outstanding officers about having thin skins is reprehensible! [Some bad eggs have left the department. Good. And, how does West know the departing officers were "outstanding"?]

You have absolutely NO CLUE the kind of work environment your pal, the mayor, has created throughout the city. [And, West does have a CLUE? Nonsense.]

The survey conducted, including exit interviews of departed and retired cops, told the story - you just refuse to believe it. [The answers from the bad eggs were playbook stuff and predictable. Many showed sour grapes as they tried to smear the mayor when they quit. Very unprofessional.]

The men and woman of the CMPD - those people your pals have sued - are working hundreds of overtime hours to keep you, your home and your clients safe. [Actually, it is the union association that is being sued. And, why?  Well, to get to the bottom of who was behind or involved in things such as the PI trying to set up Monahan in a honey trap; calling in a false DUI report, putting a tracking device on Steve Mensinger's car, etc. etc. etc.

And, the implication that the officers are somehow doing us a favor out of altruism is stupid.  They are professionals and they are paid to fulfill their mission and they are paid very well to do so.]

The actions of your pal, the mayor, have gutted one of the proudest, most respected law enforcement organizations in the state, [Oh, stop with the our school is the greatest childish crap! And, saying "one of" means what?  How many are there?  People like West with jingoistic uniform groupie attitudes are found in every city and they always say the same thing. "We have the bestest is the whole wiiiiiiiide world.]

starting with ignoring the consultants they hired to provide management/staffing advice, [Advice is advice. It is up to others to sort through the advice and make decisions. That's what the responsible councilmembers did. And, they rejected some of the advice that came from  the interim police chief who is a liberal Democrat and who ran for mayor of Anaheim as a liberal Democrat.  He's the consultant that should be trusted? And, who the hell even hired this guy in the first place? Geez, a leopard doesn't change its spots.]

followed by the dumping of the A.B.L.E. program and refusal, [It was not a cost effective program and seemed to be more of a hobby that took cops off the street where they can do some good and let them joy ride in helicopters--such as taking Wendy Leece for a ride to see fireworks a couple of years ago.]

for personal political reasons, to let the Chief begin hiring when it was necessary! [It was necessary to purge some of the bad cops, first. And, how does he know the motivation was "personal political reasons"?]

SAME GENES DRIVE MATHEMATICS AND READING ABILITY

Genes are us.

Trying to discuss the "human condition" without discussing races and genes is as absurd as trying to discuss the dog condition without discussing  breeds of dogs.

Contrary to what many people want to believe, humans are not born tabula rasa (blank slate), but come with many programs pre-installed right out of the box.  And, those pre-installed programs are the DNA codes, including the 19,000 or so genes (that's the latest count of human genes) that we are born with.

But, what about the nurture part of the argument--what effect does the environment have on us?

Perhaps the simplest example of how nurture can override nature is this: Some humans are born with a genetic basis to be alcoholics. If they grow up in a culture where drinking alcohol is common, the effects of the gene will be seen.  But, if they grow up in a culture where drinking is not allowed, the effects of the gene will not be seen.

JESSE JACKSON WANTS $2 BILLION (YOUR MONEY, WHITEY) TO CURB CHICAGO VIOLENCE

If the money were spent to let Blacks emigrate to Africa and if they were replaced in Chicago with Whites, the violence would end.  Short of that, nothing will help.  It's a genes problem.

Genes are us.

IOWA NEW AFRICA--BLACK ETHIOPIAN REFUGEE ARRESTED IN MURDER OF 97-YEAR-OLD WHITE MAN AND ASSAULT OF HIS 90-YEAR-OLD WIFE IN THEIR HOME

Video (1:59 min.).

MSM trying to cover up racial hate nature of the attack and murder by saying police don't know the motive in the attack and murder.  Don't know?  How about this:  The killer is Black and the victims White.

RESEARCHERS: CHIMP INTELLIGENCE DETERMINED BY GENES, NOT THEIR ENVIRONMENT

Yes, and it's the same with humans.  So sorry, haters in Costa Mesa, you were born that way.

Genes are us.

MICHIGAN NEW AFRICA--BLACK ARRESTED IN KILLING OF WHITE BIKER

Real bikers that I know (not poseurs) aren't dumb, and this White guy who was killed probably wrongly believed that the Black who killed him would act and react like a White and not simply shoot him.  Big mistake.  Know the probabilities, Whitey, and protect yourself.  Don't be blinded by PCitis. You have your eyes to help you survive--use them.  And, you have your brain to know how to protect yourself--use it.

BAD NEWS FOR COSTA MESA HATERS--THEY'RE MORE LIKELY TO HAVE STROKES THAN NON-HATERS

It's a good thing we have some new ambulances in Costa Mesa.  They may be very busy carting off the haters.

  1. While I realize Fisler was trying to be concise and not write an essay I wish he had elaborated more on the thin skinned cops. He is on point there. I makes absolutely no sense for a cop to quit because of the Mayor who is in a temporary position. Yet some stories ran that some took a cut in pay and faced a longer commute because of leaving for another city because of the Mayor. That makes them more than just thin skinned, it makes them look a little stupid to boot. Probably good they are gone, surely not the brightest. What they did was help remove the bad apples (themselves) and create increased upward mobility within the department. That makes working for us attractive to a young, smart, goal orientated recruit choosing where to work. Also, since I don't trust the pd union completely I think that if a cop told them he is leaving because he didn't like the political activism of the COPS , that would be marked up as a political reason but spun as against the Mayor, not the activism of the PD. And I am pretty sure a couple who left "for political reasons" were involved in the decisions leading to the fake DUI and planting the GPS device. Just being a cop doesn't make you an angel, the badge bunnies don't realize this. Most are outstanding, dedicated, and hard working and should be appreciated as they are. Perhaps not paid like they are, but appreciated.

  2. PDWatcher is spot on. His comment on the knucklehead who left because of the Mayor made me think of the movie "Stripes" where the new recruits are talking to Sgt. and the one guy comments he enlisted in the army to avoid being drafted:

Sgt. Hulka (updated to Sgt. at Compton PD): Son, why is it you left your long term employment with the CMPD, gave up rank, took a pay cut, and face a longer commute to work here in Compton which is not as safe as CM?

Former CMPD: Well, my Dad worked his whole life and retired as a policeman, so did my older brother, as well as my grandfather. I wanted to keep up the tradition so I left CMPD before the Mayor could fire me.

Sgt. Hulka: Son, the Mayor is not in charge of hiring or firing policemen.

    Former CMPD: There was one?

  3. I just read the thead. No wonder I have heard them called haters. Fisler just states some simple facts and the personal attack is on. I guess they can't argue the facts so bully the guy who posted them. haters indeed.
