LA SHERIFF MOVES TO FIRE SIX DEPUTIES FROM A 'CLIQUE' WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT
Link
The  group was even called a"clique"  in the article. The clique acted like a gang.

Say, where have you heard about a possible "clique" within a law enforcement department before?

MAN ARRESTED FOR THREATENING COUNCILPERSON
Link

No one arrested in Costa Mesa...yet. This story is from Yorba Linda.

Just saying "Gosh, I was just overcome with emotion," won't work.  Of course a person who threatens others is overcome with emotion.  That's why they threaten them. You're supposed to be able to control your emotions and not threaten others.  If you can't control your emotions and you act out, you can expect legal action.

We won't publish the information you send but will just pass it on to the proper people (not the CMPD) for their investigation and any legal action they may wish to take.

YET ANOTHER BRAWL IN A RESTAURANT
Link

This article has the headline: "Bikini Brawl: Spring Break Pandemonium Hits Fl  Burger King."

Somehow, that headline doesn't capture the essence of this attack on restaurant employees.  Check out the video at the above link and see for yourself.

Can you see anything in common with the many other brawls in restaurants that you may have seen on the Internet?

Welcome to 21st Century America.

THIS IS NEWS?

According to  this article in the DAILY PILOT, three people: Greg Ridge (he often posts as Gericault); Judy Lindsay, and Sarah Halverson called a press conference today at City Hall to say that in their opinion the City Council should slow down and rescind the lay off notices. Ho hum.

We suggest that these three voluntarily donate all their money to pay for employee pensions and to help get Costa Mesa out of the financial hole it's in.

And, while they're at it, maybe they could donate some money to take care of our decaying infrastructure that hasn't been fixed because our money is going to pay salaries and pensions instead.

LEFTY THUGS STILL TRYING TO INTIMIDATE THE COSTA MESA CITY COUNCIL

From what we've seen, it seems clear that the usual lefty thugs are trying to use the tragic death of a Costa Mesa employee to try to brow beat and have the Costa Mesa City Council pull a Windy Leece and get all squishy.

Hopefully, the four good Council members will consider the source of the hate speech that is aimed at them and not be deterred from doing what is right for the citizens of Costa Mesa.

3R COMMITTEE MEETS TONIGHT
Link to agenda and details.

This is the committee that makes recommendations to the City Council to give your money to some charities that many believe are acting as magnets and helping keep the Westside down.

Some Westside charities appear to be racially/ethnically exclusive clubs.

One charity told a White girl that she was the wrong color to use their after school services. This was reported to the Feds who swooped in on this charity and made them sign a consent decree to not discriminate. *

Unfortunately, some of the other charities are more clever in their discrimination.

One trick is to say that anyone can apply for their services. However, what happens is that people aren't accepted to use the services if they are the wrong race/ethnicity.

Another trick is to locate the charities in slum neighborhoods where middle class parents wouldn't want to send their kids.

Another trick is to make middle class kids feel unwanted by an emphasis on non-American culture in the charities.

Here's what to remember about this:  The City Council DOES NOT have to give any of your money to the charities.  It DOES NOT have to follow the recommendations of the 3R Committee which is often biased toward giving money to these charities.

The City Council can decide not to give your money to the charities but can use this money to fix streets and other infrastructure items, so long as those streets and infrastructure items are on the Westside.

The CM PRESS believes that the proper use of our money is in fixing streets and infrastructure items on the Westside and that's where we believe the City Council should put all of this money.

[* BTW:  If any of our friends want to see the Federal Consent Decree, just privately email us your fax number and we'll send you a copy.]

WHEN WILL THE COSTA MESA CITY COUNCIL BRING IN E-VERIFY?

Come on City Council, take up where Allan Mansoor left off and bring in e-verify to make sure everyone working for the city is legally in the country.  This takes on added importance as you begin to outsource jobs.

And, speaking of Assemblyman Mansoor, here's a LINK to his state website.

JUDGE ORDERS USE OF SHARIA LAW IN TAMPA LAWSUIT
Link

This one is going to be interesting for the possible precedent it will set if Sharia law is allowed to be used in a secular U.S. courtroom.

Next, we may have Traditional Catholics, Ultra-Orthodox Jews, Fundamentalist Mormons, Hindus, Amish and many others all demanding that their religious laws be used in deciding cases.

Take the Fundamentalist Mormons, for example. They believe in polygamy, and it's part of their religious laws.  How about Hindus with arranged marriages between children?

You can see the problem.

CHANGES MAY NEED TO BE MADE IN THE CMPD

Here's part of what  frequent poster bigdawg (who sounds like he has inside CMPD information) has posted at the Daily Pilot as of 8:07 AM today:

"Don't forget those 8 plain clothes officers for Rig and Mens were paid overtime and had to drop whatever St. Patty's day plans they had to be their. is it not hypocrisy to post salaries and OT on the internet, but then force some to work OT against their will for personal security?"

So, how do you suppose bigdawg knew there were "8 plain clothes officers," involved? And, how did he know the 8 plain clothes officers were forced "to work OT against their will"?

As far as we know, none of this was made public.

Maybe the proper authorities should try to find out bigdawg's true identity.

Here's the link to the column and bigdawg's full post.

HATERS AND BIGOTS ON PARADE

We're reading some comments over at the Daily Pilot and elsewhere that sound libelous as well as threatening toward some of our elected officials.

Hopefully, the proper authorities will investigate such comments.

Free speech has limits.  Among other things, you can't threaten people and you can't falsely accuse them of crimes.

One commenter has accused an elected official of "murder."  Murder is a crime.  The elected official clearly did not commit a murder. Thus, the statement is a false accusation of a crime.

  2. No drunk drivers arrested but 39 citations issued and 16 vehicles towed. A very profitable evening. Maybe the Bill of Rights-busting checkpoints wouldn't be so bad if the police just called them what they really are: Revenue generation checkpoints.

  3. CM Press,

    Regarding UtterlyDigusted,

Doesn't the DP have some liability here also? I will contact them. This person is going to be held liable.
