This is an increasing trend as those defamed by anonymous posters begin to sue.  There are a few of these anonymous posters in Costa Mesa who may soon learn that they aren't as anonymous as they think.

UNBALANCED HATERS AND BIGOTS HARMING THE CAUSE OF CITY EMPLOYEES AND MAKING WENDY LEECE LOOK BAD

The CM PRESS has been contacted by a number of good, decent citizens who say they formerly had a lot of respect for City employees but that their respect started to erode when they saw the sheer arrogance and hate coming from some of them during the last election and since then.

Two out of town cops pulling an anti-Jim Righeimer A-Frame sign around the city behind what looked like a brand new, very expensive, Cadillac Escalade caused many to start questioning whether the cops and other City employees who mostly don't live in Costa Mesa are too involved in trying to buy City Councilmembers who will feather their nests and screw the people who live here.

Then there was the stink-eye incident in which a City Councilmember believes that two uniformed cops in a marked police car may have been trying to intimidate him and another citizen. 

And then there was the claim made to the press by "anonymous" out of town cops who insinuated that Jim Righeimer acted like a raging bull over a misplaced and dangerous DUI checkpoint--but when the tapes of the incident came out, Righeimer sounded calm, professional and polite.

You may remember that before those Righeimer tapes were made public that some cops were trying to tug on the heart strings of the voters concerning DUIs and were saying that the police were just doing their jobs when that evil Jim Righeimer questioned the misplaced and dangerous DUI checkpoint.

Then it came out that the out of town employees--including cop unions from other cities--were funneling thousands of dollars into trying to elect Wendy Leece and they were even trying to elect a guy who had a DUI arrest, in order to get puppets on the Council and defeat Righeimer.

Now, citizens are seeing that Leece--who got support and money from the out of town employees--has been the only Councilmember who has been voting against the citizens of this City and for the out of town employees who are trying to run this city.

Many citizens are now reading the hate comments that are appearing in the local papers from anonymous commenters who often sound like employees.

Several of the haters sound like cops or relatives of cops.  One hater sounds like an employee of the call center or a relative of an employee of the call center.

Here are just a few comments from the haters.  The DAILY PILOT has removed some of the most offensive and libelous comments, but you still can get the flavor from these:

Based on your grammar, you should consider yourself luck to have a job. What do you think happens when there are no cops available to protect you from the gangs and transient infestation? I cant wait to see what Anaheim & 19th will look like a year from now!

This means 6 months of employees doing very little or nothing because the council screwed them...and then 2 years of unemployment...

All at the expense of the self proclaimed taxpaying protector, Jimmy Rigenheimer. For his political gain and to the detriment of the city residents...

I am afraid what might happen to him next.

[The CM PRESS COMMENTS: cmwatcher2011 makes some of the most hateful comments. Many have been removed.  Look at the last line in the above comment that is appearing in the DAILY PILOT right now: "I am afraid what might happen to him [Jim Righeimer] next."  That sounds like a threat to an elected official, and it should be investigated as such. But, it should not be investigated by the CMPD.]

There are many other comments from mentally unbalanced haters that are appearing in other newspapers. 

Some of these haters switch to other anonymous names, but they have a difficult time disguising their writing style and other factors. 

It seems clear that the few mentally unbalanced haters and bigots aren't helping the cause of the many good employees of the city and that they are creating lots of ill will among citizens.
