COSTA MESA CITY COUNCIL MOVING FORWARD IN ITS CONSIDERATION OF OUTSOURCING FIRE FIGHTING

The Orange County Fire Authority says that it can save Costa Mesa more than $ 20 million over the next five years if it takes over from the CMFD.

Costa Mesa's City Council  is now waiting for answers to specific questions about how it will all work and whether or not Costa Mesans will get quality, timely service along with the cost savings.

Our guess is that fire fighting is going to be outsourced.

MSU STUDY: RACIAL IDENTITY KEY TO HAPPINESS
Link

This study was about Blacks finding happiness.

The results might have been different if the study had included Whites who, as a group, have been brow beaten into believing that it's evil to find happiness in their racial identity or even in thinking that they actually have a racial identity.

OUTSOURCING

I'm seeing comments from some folks who are making "outsourcing" sound like something strange or rare.

For those who are doing this, let me ask you a few questions:

Do you ever have your family car repaired?  Do you have a mechanic on your payroll at your house or do you take it to a mechanic down the street and pay him just for the work you need him to do?

How about plumbing at your house?  Do you have a plumber on your personal payroll just in case you need him sometime or do you call a bunch of plumbers and try to get the best price just for the job you need done?

Welcome to the world of outsourcing.  Welcome to the free market.  Welcome to the real world where you try to save money whenever you can.

LEFTY NPR HAVING BIG PROBLEMS

"Pimp" gets another feather in his fedora with his hidden cameras recording lefty hatred and bigotry.

Hey lefties, if  a skinny white guy shows up in your office wearing a purple fedora or maybe in black face, and if he has a camera lens in the front of his brief case and if he wants you to speak loudly into a flower on his jacket, be suspicious.

WILL THE U.S. ATTACK LIBYA?
Link

Knotty problem. If  the U.S. steps in, the rebels believe they'll lose popular support in their attempt to get rid of Qaddafi.  If the U.S. doesn't step in, the rebels may lose.

No doubt, the folks in D.C. understand that the way to solve the problem is to somehow kill Qaddafi.

Without him, the rebels should win.  Now, the problem is how to do that without leaving U.S. fingerprints all over the place.

HIRE A POLICE CHIEF WHO LIVES IN COSTA MESA

As the City sets out to hire a new police chief, we hope that one will be hired who either now lives in Costa Mesa or who will move to Costa Mesa.

Many cops argue that they don't want to live in a city with people they arrest. We don't buy it.

Costa Mesa is large enough so that this shouldn't be a problem.

We would also like to have all other City employees live in Costa Mesa.

  1. Mr. Millard: I completely support your push to recruit a chief who lives here. There seems to be some legal disagreement as to whether this can be a condition of hiring, but other communities have gotten around this problem by offering incentives to make local residence "an offer they can't refuse."

  2. If the city CEO can live in Costa Mesa, so can the Chief of Police and all the cops. What are they afraid of?

  3. Speaking of CMWatcher, it would be equally nice if Gericault (aka Greg Ridge) would back up all of his nasty remarks with his home address. It's only a matter of time before that boy gets his pants sued off for defamation of character, false accusations, etc.

That old Biblical phrase: "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." comes to mind. Somebody needs to start doing unto him so he will know what it feels like.

It's obvious that Greg has his hands on some kind of free meal ticket because he never works and has all kinds of time to inflict pain and verbal abuse on people who don't deserve it. He delivers nothing more than fiction every time he opens his mouth, continually spews false rumors, and serves no purpose in this community. And, in case no one noticed, it's usually the hard working souls he attacks the most.

Too bad we can't package Gericault up and ship him off to Afghanistan, or Libya, where he might be helpful. Bro, my man, you just got to get a life!
