AP SCORES FOR NMUSD HIGH SCHOOLS STINK
HERE are the Advanced Placement scores for all high schools in Orange County.

Here's a few excerpts showing the percentage of students in the schools who scored a 3 or higher on the AP tests. A score of 3 or higher is required by most colleges for college credit.

Newport Harbor--72.1% of students got a 3 or higher.
Cdm--------------69.3% of students got a 3 or higher.
CM---------------47.9% of students got a 3 or higher.
Estancia----------46.6% of students got a 3 or higher.

The four high schools in Irvine, by contrast, had 80.8% to 91.8% of their students scoring 3 or higher.

The lowest ranking school in all of Orange County was Century High School in Santa Ana where only 22.4% of the students scored a 3 or higher.

We expected Costa Mesa's two high schools to be as low as they are (you know why), but we're surprised by the relatively low scores in Newport Beach's two high schools, and we imagine some of the parents in that city--and especially in Corona del Mar--are also wondering why their schools aren't doing better.

We're pretty sure that a closer look at where many of the Newport school students really live would be revealing.

STILL NO ARRESTS IN MUCH TOUTED "HATE CRIME"

Hey, Human Relations Commission, how about having the victim take a lie detector test just to silence those who think this may be a hate-hoax?
