We've generally found that the CMPD does take descriptions when the department investigates crimes (no surprise in that), but PC newspapers will often not publish the descriptions they obtain from the CMPD unless the perps are white.
When they are white, the PC newspapers usually emphasize that fact. They want you to think that violent crime is an equal opportunity employer. It's not, and the statistics are clear about this.
