CM PRESS # 805

COSTA MESA...

NEW:  ANOTHER ARTICLE IN THE DAILY PILOT ABOUT THE CRIMINAL CHARGES AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS

The DP is starting to connect the dots.   Worth a read.  Note also the negative comments from a cop against former Mayor Bever. Disgusting.

IT WASN'T MERELY HARASSMENT OR DIRTY TRICKS AND IT WASN'T A TRIFLE

We see some folks referring to the false DUI call, the honey in the bar and the tracking device and other things that are now being revealed as  harassment, dirty tricks or as something that was not very important.

Folks, they are very wrong.  This is a VERY BIG DEAL.

This wasn't about harassment, or dirty tricks and it wasn't a trifle.  And, we believe we've only seen the tip of the iceberg on this.

This wasn't some spur of the moment fraternity prank.

This was something very big and very ominous. The lives of three of our best citizens--ELECTED OFFICIALS--could have been destroyed had this not been uncovered.  Wives and kids might have become the butt of jokes and bullying and be shunned by friends.  And, one imagines one or more marriages might be strained. Business prospects and opportunities might have been ruined and reputations--one of a person's most valuable properties--damaged beyond repair.

And, what about the legitimate paranoia that one gets in situations like this. This can lead to PTSD. Even now, I imagine the good councilmembers are looking over their shoulders all the time and wondering and worrying about that bump in the night outside their windows and not knowing who to trust in business, in the police department, in city hall, and in personal relationships.

And, when they go out to their cars, aren't they wondering if the cars have been tampered with in some way?  Maybe another tracking device?  And, what about that strange car on the street--strange just because it hasn't been seen before?  Just someone innocently driving through the neighborhood? Or?  What about that guy who is walking his dog? Does he live around here?  Isn't he lingering a little too long in one spot?  And, in the restaurant, isn't that new customer being a little too friendly?

No, this wasn't some kid's game.  This was deadly serious.

Actually, we think their real names are known.  When they qet questioned about their activities what will they do?

DAILY PILOT NOW HAS THE STORY ON THE INTERNAL INVESTIGATION OF THE CMPD THAT THE CM PRESS RAN LATE YESTERDAY

And, the usual haters are already trying to downplay it.

Before you read on, be sure to read this article in the OC REGISTER by Jordan Graham that names names of some cops and tells you about coded messages, HERE. Note the disgusting things some of the cops said about our elected officials. THIS IS A MUST READ.  IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE TODAY, CLICK ON THIS ARTICLE--HERE IT IS AGAIN!

Here's a link to the Facebook page of Costa Mesa Taxpayers where you can see more comments from citizens about this along with photos of some of those named in the above linked articles.

NEW: HERE'S A LINK TO THE CALIFORNIA WATCHDOG WITH A COLUMN ABOUT THE CMPD UNION, ET AL.

Folks, even beyond the letter of the law, we expect police officers to live up to high standards of honesty and decency.  We expect them to always tell the truth and not even give the appearance that they may be involved in wrong doing.

We haven't seen the written standards of conduct that the CMPD must have, but we imagine they're similar to the standards used by other departments, and we're sure the internal investigation will be using these as well as the letter of the law to see if we have any bad cops who should perhaps find another line of work.

We know already that four cops broke department policy when they spoke to the press "anonymously" after the DUI checkpoint incident on Harbor at the 405, HERE. ("Four police officers, each of whom asked not to be identified because they're not authorized to speak with the media....").  We've never heard if anything happened to these four cops.

We imagine some of the bad folks who are using phony names on hate blogs around town are now trying to erase things and may even be worrying that their true names will be published.  Let's see if certain phony names show up with the usual absurd spins or whether they have suddenly gone to ground as they try to hide.

Remember, if individual officers lie under oath during the investigation (and they should be under oath when questioned) that's a felony.  And if they aren't forthcoming and are evasive in their answers that may be cause for termination (assuming that's part of the code of conduct and policy, as it usually is).

The City needs to get to the bottom of this and find out who if any were/are involved.

To repeat:  We don't want police officers who lie.  If they lie about this matter, one has to wonder how many times they've lied in court to get convictions of innocent people.

At the end of all of this, we hope to see an improved CMPD that emerges from the cloud that now hangs over the department and which regains the public trust.

Hopefully, the new cops who are being hired now won't fall prey to negative attitudes from some bad apples and have their morale ruined.

Being a cop is prestigious, and the families of good cops have a right to feel pride in their family members who are cops, but when bad cops tarnish the profession, it hurts the individual good cops as well.

UTAH--AS THE GOVERNMENT STARTS EVICTING HUNDREDS OF CHURCH MEMBERS & LITTLE BABIES FROM THEIR OWN HOMES IN AN ON GOING PERSECUTION, FLDS MEMBERS BUILD A TENT CITY

Video (3:04 min.)

Background: The members of the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints (FLDS) still practice the religion of Mormon founder Joseph Smith.

Some present day Salt Lake City Mormons have been persecuting the FLDS members through their government contacts.  This has been going on since the 1940's.

The Salt Lake City Mormons have become a what's happening now church that has convenient revelations that change Church doctrine to be trendy. The FLDS stays true to the original teachings.

TEXAS--TRIGGER HAPPY COP ZAPS 76-YEAR-OLD WITH TASER

Video (3:58).

This is the sort of thing that can happen when you give the wrong people badges and guns.  Suddenly, they think they can do whatever they want.

In the above case, the senior citizen did nothing wrong and the cop stopped him because the cop wasn't aware of the law. From there it went downhill.  Expect a lawsuit.

GERMANY: 15,000 NATIONALISTS MARCH IN DRESDEN

Lefties are getting worried about fast and how large the movement is growing.  The first march had just  200 people. The next one had 10,000.  The latest march had 15,000.  More to come.

The Germans are starting to awaken and don't want to go extinct in their own land.

  1. me thinks the lateral transfers to other cities for lower pay and longer commutes may have been smart after all. I used to think they were too stupid to know they didn't work for the mayor. now it seems the "political tensions" that made them leave were probably them leaving a toxic pd union rather than leaving the mayor. west is stupid and mean.

  2. this is no big deal, happens in most pd unions. I want to know how many fairy shrimp were killed just to make a safe path for kids to walk on. I cannot sleep thinking of the slaughter that may have occurred . oh, I know, many other shrimp areas have been destroyed through the years in that park but this was deliberate murder of a defenseless microscopic being by pouring dirt on the dirt it is under. if I had a coat to donate for every shrimp maimed or killed I would be a hometown hero once I publicized how great I was. I now refuse to eat regular shrimp in memory of the invisible ones that were killed. people: boycott eating shrimp or you are as guilty as the people who shoveled the dirt for the kids.
