In this article [HERE] we read that Iran has stepped up its operations in its nuke power plant.
But the interesting part of the column was this quote from Hillary Clinton that was made last October: "Iran is entitled to the peaceful use of nuclear power," she said after speaking at a U.N. Security Council meeting. "They are not entitled to a nuclear weapons program."
Now, if you're an Iranian--Iran is a sovereign nation, remember--how would you feel if you were told that unlike the U.S., China, North Korea, Pakistan and Israel (to name a few) that you are not entitled to a nuclear weapons program?
And, how would you feel about the U.S. never criticizing Israel for its nuclear weapons program?
Wouldn't you feel that you are being treated like a child? Wouldn't that get your hackles up? Wouldn't you resent the U.S.?

As you'll read in the above hate article, the term has actually been around for a while, but few have heard it.
This may change as we get closer to the election.

ReplyDeleteActually, China IS effectively wiping Tibet off the map right now, North Korea has said it will do the same to South Korea, and Pakistan, from time to time, threatens the same thing against India, and India also threatens Pakistan.
The point I was making was that the U.S. is despised for, among other things, not having an even handed foreign policy.
I think it is a matter of degree. Ahmadinejad is a mad man. I have no love for the other leaders either but he is the worst and no doubt would carry out nuclear annihilation on Israel the minute he can. The others already have nukes and have not used them on their enemies.
