NEWPORT ORGANIZING TO KEEP QUALITY OF LIFE FOR CITIZENS AT A HIGH LEVEL
Link

Newport wants every neighborhood to have Newport Beach quality.

Now, if we can just get the Costa Mesa City Council to become more active in doing the same thing here in Costa Mesa...well, that would be something.

The best place to start is the Westside.  Bring it up to Eastside standards and the whole city will improve.

NEW POLL SHOWS OBAMA STRUGGLING FOR WHITE SUPPORT
Link

Maybe it's because many Whites are realizing that Obama isn't good for their interests.

The failure of the Obama administration to do anything about White voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers was just one example of the anti-White bias of the Obama administration that has been seen by White America.

LOOKING FOR SOME STINK EYE TRANSPARENCY FROM WHAT BILL LOBDELL SAYS IS GOING TO BE THE MOST TRANSPARENT CITY

We sent the following message over to Bill Lobdell this morning:

It is reported in the Daily Pilot that Lt. Huggins says he can't release the report on the stink eye incident due to "legal restraints."

1. Do you have the legal citations justifying this refusal to release the report?

2. Also, if parts of the report are covered by some applicable law, can other parts of the report be viewed by the public or is it the position of the City that the public is not allowed to see any part of the report?

3. What did it cost to do this investigation?

4. What are the names of the officers who allegedly gave the stink eye, and who did they report to from their squad car on that day?

5. Did they take photographs or video of the two people putting up signs?

6. How did the Daily Pilot get a copy of Lt. Huggins' letter?

7. May I see a copy of Lt. Huggins' letter? (email copy is fine)

A couple of hours later, Lobdell sent us this message:  "I forwarded your e-mail to City Attorney Tom Duarte, who can answer your questions."

So far, the CM PRESS hasn't heard anything from Tom Duarte, but when we do, we'll let you know.

FEDERAL JUDGE GIVES CONTROL OF TRUST BACK TO THE  FLDS
Link

The FLDS (a fundamentalist Mormon church) has been persecuted in Utah, Arizona, Texas and in Canada.

Several years ago in Utah, the state took control of land held in trust by the church for its members. The state then named a trustee who ran up huge legal bills that the church was told it had to pay.

The church said the state's action wasn't constitutional.

Now, this federal judge has agreed with the church.

We think the judge got it right.

Utah is now appealing the decision, and eventually this may end up in the U.S. Supreme Court.

If it does get there, we think the Supreme Court will also rule in favor of the Church.

If it does so, and if its ruling is broad enough (the Supreme Court usually tries to take cases that do have major impacts on basic law in this country), the religious rights of all Americans should get a boost.

WINDY(sic) LEECE SAYS WE DON'T LIVE IN A PERFECT WORLD

Here's a little fiction.

There is this City Council person.  Let's call her, ah, Lindy Fleece.

Now, some kids came to Lindy and the rest of the City Council and asked if they could play with matches.

Lindy, being a gawd trusting and compassionate charity loving person, said yes.  The rest of the Council said no and warned the little kids that this might lead to them burning down their house.

Finally, however, Lindy was able to get the matches to the kids after the kids threatened to tell their moms and dads that they couldn't get the matches.

The kids, not being any smarter than Lindy, then called all the other Council members all sorts of names.  Oh, it was "You're  a bunch of poop heads," and "You are meany meanies," for days on end.

Not soon after they got the matches, the kids set a fire that burned down their house.  Now, the kids have no house to live in.

So now the kids are calling the Council members, who warned them, the same old names. And, not being very bright, they're still praising Lindy.

When Lindy was contacted by a newspaper, she shrugged and said "We don't live in a perfect world."

Oh, and Lindy's nice home in a gated community wasn't touched by the fire caused by the matches that she gave to the kids.

But remember, you kids with no house, "We don't live in a perfect world."  And also remember that Lindy really feels your pain. Pass the kleenex, please, as Lindy sings kumbaya about your house (not hers) that burned down.

MORAL:  Don't trust stupid people who don't know what they're doing and who can't see future negative effects of their present actions.

MAINE RANKED MOST PEACEFUL STATE

"Most peaceful" is defined to mean less violent.

Now, why do you think Maine is less violent than any other state?

We'll tell you why.  It's the state with the least diversity and the most White people as a percentage of the population.   You won't read that in the above linked article, though.

Never fear, lefites, the federal government figures Maine is too White and is importating people from Africa to live in Maine.

Genes are us.

WE IMAGINE SOME MORE...

While the townsfolk have been discussing buying a new broom for old Bob for the past three months, Old Bob's union has now entered the fray.

Union thug, in the audience: "While Old Bob was busy sweeping Newport Blvd. with a frayed broom, our cross-dressing Mayor was seen prancing around town doing some kinda Irish dance in what he called a kilt.

We don't think it was a kilt at all, but a petite size dress made by non-union slave labor in Costa Mesa Rica."

Mr. Millard: There is no date on that story about CMPD police compensation. When did this first appear? Thanks.

  2. With respect to the police folks being as highly paid as they are: it'd be nice if they would do their job. In our business, if we do no do the job, we certainly could not charge our customer. The point is not that the level of their pay is high, it is that the high rate of pay adds insult to injury.

As far as the part of my commentary regarding 'do their job', there is a silent majority - at least in my neighborhood - where our silence is driven by the fear of what we know: the cmpd does not enforce the public safety in the skid row neighborhood and adjacent.

We know they don't do their job, because we call them out in an effort to call for public safety. Even others at the city institution level have done the same - witness the library / historical society that actually resulted in a 'hearing' where 'proponents' came up with a 'task force.' So there is no denying that they do not do their job, otherwise, why would there be a need for the task force in the first place. The fact that city institutions such as those mentioned above were required, and sparked, the formation of the 'task force' is in itself indicative that the 'silent majority' remain silent for fear that 'if we raise our voices, the 'appearance' of public safety will be replaced by the total absence of public safety (denial of service)'.

I have heard Wendy say many times those words 'public safety. We've dragged her down to our neighborhood, and voiced our concerns: we do not feel safe in our neighborhood. We need action more than words; if we had the action requested, the moneys boasted of are well spent.

Bottom Line: Fine, take the pay, whatever it is that you got for yourself. But don't couch it in terms that you are specifically performing the job in a manner consistent with the payment received.

  3. I noticed the same thing so I opted to just link to the firm's website, with the firm's own assertion, instead of writing a column about the claim.

  4. Speaking of outside investigations, when are we going to get an investigation of Huy Pham's death? I would like to know who the witnesses were, and what they observed.

  5. Trust me, I'm not a doctorApril 9, 2011 at 12:50:00 PM PDT

Don't expect too much transparency through Lobdell: His own website fails to mention that one of his three testimonials is from his wife and another is from a close friend. And that FAQ? It reads more like an apology than a reasoned approach to the budget crisis. But get used to it - his position will be permanent once his 90 day contract is up.
