Today in the Freedom Home tract I found a single page letter on my doorstep titled "CORRUPTION AT CITY HALL, COSTA MESA". It is unsigned, but obviously a protective service, union document that provides a distortion of the issues facing us in our city. Any one else get this??? It probably is generated on a city computer, printed with a city printer on city paper stock. And maybe created on city time!!!

A FEW POLL QUESTIONS WE'D LIKE TO SEE ASKED IN COSTA MESA
1. Do you think out of town union thugs should be allowed to run Costa Mesa?
2. Do you think the Costa Mesa City Council should act responsibly and try to save you money?
3. Do you think the Costa Mesa City Council should get our budget priorities fixed so that we can have our streets repaired?
4. Do you think the Costa Mesa City Council should try to make our city a nicer place for those of us who live here and put our interests first?
5. Are you willing to pay more taxes and fees so out of town employees of Costa Mesa can make more money than you make and so they can live in nicer cities and retire with better pensions than you get in the private sector?
6. Do you think it's acceptable that some suspected City employees are making threats against City Council members?
7. When you shop for goods and services for your family do you comparison shop and try to get the best price? Do you think the City of Costa Mesa should do the same thing?
8. When you took a job in the private sector, did you believe that you had a right to a liftime job because you were hired?
9. If you hire someone to mow your lawn, are you willing to pay, say $ 50 for the job if someone else can do the same job for $5?

ReplyDeleteI honestly believe the vast majority of Costa Mesa residents are firmly behind this city council. It's a shame, but our city employees have now become our enemies. They have a firm grip on our city treasury and aren't about to let go. We can't continue to let them hold this city hostage.
This whole mess could have been avoided if Wendy Leece had just thought before she voted. The only other choice now is bankruptcy! What were you thinking Wendy??? I thought you were smarter than that. You certainly weren't thinking of Huy or the rest of the city employees when you cast that vote. You had to know it would result in massive layoffs! If not, you obviously aren't smart enough to be on the city council.
