Stop spreading that " you must have done something really bad" lie around!
You say that to everyone who got kicked off of the racist Private Square.
Martin Millard is your top advisor.
A number of people got kicked off for no reason at all. You moderators
didn't like that they didn't tow the OC GOP/Righeimer line.
Stop lying and spreading that garbage around Rick.

I commented on this before, but it's worth seeing it again for the complete falsehoood: "Martin Millard is your top advisor."   I am no kind of advisor over at CMPS and her second comment that the site is "racist" is also a falsehood.

But please go look for yourself at CMPS, HERE.

CMPS is a family friendly site that focuses on the ISSUES that concern Costa Mesans and it keeps haters and crackpots off the site.  And, when some sneak on and start with their hate speech, they are kicked off. So, these kooks go to the Daily Pilot, which lets them comment and lie and make personal attacks in the newspaper.

Maybe it's time for Tribune to make some personnel changes.  The crap the Pilot allows from crackpots can't be good for circulation.

BTW--Note that Ahlf writes, in her second to last line in her above comment "...they didn't tow (sic) the OC GOP/Righeimer line."  I think she means  "toe" the line, even though she probably doesn't know that's what she means.

CMPS (Costa Mesa Public Square) is rapidly approaching 3,500 members, and it's the place to see what is really going on in Costa Mesa.  And as a bonus, the mods over there keep most of the haters out, so you can read and comment on ISSUES without the usual dumbass haters mucking up things with endless personal attacks.

The haters are crying that they're banned from CMPS so they try to disparage the page.

Karin Ahlf, down below, even tried to harm CMPS by claiming that I'm their top advisor.  I kid you not.  Not only am I not their top advisor, I'm no advisor at all, and I don't even personally know the people behind the page and have never communicated with them except in public comments that I sometimes make on the page.  And, what are my comments about on that page?  About ISSUES and improvement of Costa Mesa. Period.

HERE IT IS AGAIN--BE SURE TO READ THE COMMENTS UNDER THIS DAILY PILOT COLUMN FOR A BELLY LAUGH (and speaking of bellies, check the photo below)

First, you'll read comments by an elderly and lonely old man named Geoff West, a blowhard.

West is like the pudgy kid who mouths off to other kids on the playground and then when they frown at him he runs crying to his mommy. Whaaaaa, whaaaa, mommy, they scared me, they frowned at me, whaaaaa, whaaaa, I just called them names, whaaaaa, whaaaa. Protect me, mommy, protect me.

Then, you'll see Karin Ahlf (West's Internet mommy?) rush to his defense with a seemingly endless series of really trite, dumb and nagging comments that are on the order of "I know I am, but what are you," after some of the brighter adults call West out.

West, as I've written before, seems to be obsessed with me.  Over at one of the facebook hate pages there was a story about a bunch of Mexican kids who put on a Nazi themed dance recital and West wrote this in his comment:

Note that West uses a photo of himself when he was a child as his avatar. Is that because he never had children or because he never grew up or because his life has been so meaningless that he wishes he could do it over again? Perhaps he has a Peter Pan complex?  Imagine that bloated body in tights flying around. Try not to barf.

City Council meeting last night.  As usual, under the watch of Mayor Mensinger, everything ran smoothly.  Nothing to report.

The best things to happen to Costa Mesa in the last decade were the elections of Jim Righeimer and Steve Mensinger.

Long time observers of the local scene will recall that I used to be at almost every City Council meeting, Planning Commission meeting and Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.  In fact, I was such a permanent fixture that people would joke that where I usually sat was my reserved seat.

These days, however, I rarely attend any meetings.  Why?  Because the city is being run the right way by the good councilmembers--the aforementioned Mayor Mensinger and Mayor Pro Tem Righeimer with the help of Councilmember Monahan.

In all those years that I attended all the meetings, it was disgusting to see our elected and appointed officials do nothing each meeting but rubber stamp whatever staff put in front of them and take no personal initiatives to improve Costa Mesa.  

Those were dark years and the city was on a downward spiral.  Fortunately, those days are over, at least for now.  Of course, if the do-nothing lefties get control of the council in 2016, things may fall apart again.  If that happens, I'll be at every meeting once again and I'll try to motivate the Improvers to get back in the saddle.
