CM PRESS # 726

IN BIG RACES (AND SMALL) INCUMBENTS (AND NON-INCUMBENTS) ARE OPTING OUT OF TELEVISED DEBATES

Many of those running for election are getting tired of gotcha debates, candidate beauty pageants, dog and pony shows, and Jerry Springer-like side shows (such as some we've seen here locally in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach).

Such debates favor lesser known and often underfunded candidates who have no real support and who are elevated to the same status as the well known candidates (especially incumbents) simply by showing up.

FRANCE:  FAR RIGHT ANTI-IMMIGRANT PARTY NATIONAL FRONT HAS WON SEATS IN PARLIAMENT'S UPPER HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME

A tremendous victory for those who want France to remain French.

FERGUSON COP SHOT

One of the effects and dangers of all the verbal attacks on White cops who shoot Blacks is that White cops may be psychologically disarmed and consciously override their natural self-preservation instincts and hesitate to use their guns when necessary and may get shot by Blacks.

A cop often has to make a split second decision.  It behooves anyone who is stopped by a cop to not even look as though you're a danger.  Don't move fast. Keep your hands where the cop can see them. Comply with the cop's reasonable demands.

FOUR YEAR DEGREES FROM OCC SOON?

A great idea and it may soon happen.  The CM PRESS has long pushed for OCC to be turned into a four year school, and while we envisioned it more as a university with individual colleges, this present idea that may become a reality is a great first step.

OC REGISTER article.
