Leece has been horrible for the city and its residents.  She's left many of us wondering how we could have been so wrong about her when we worked to get her elected in the first place.  Her obstructionism seems almost sociopathic.

DAILY PILOT BEATS CM PRESS TO GET CITY CLERK'S EMAILS

And, what they show isn't pretty.  The City Clerk received several reminders to get the paperwork in on time and she still didn't do so.

Because of the speed with which the Daily Pilot got those emails--that seem to only be the ones to and from the Registrar--we assume the paper must also have requested all other emails, telephone records, visitor records, etc. during the deadline week and  the week or two before that week to see if anything else is newsworthy.

If the Daily Pilot didn't do this, we may do it, and we'll let you know what we see.

In fact, had we not been having computer down time while we change systems, we would already have made the proper requests.

Maybe if the press reported all such Black on White attacks this victim might have been more wary and might even have done some profiling to stay safe.

"Profiling?"  It just means using your brain to avoid danger.
