CM PRESS # 64

WHITE WOMAN ATTACKED BY BLACKS IN RACE HATE CRIME
Link

As with many other Whites today, this woman is asking that hate crime charges be filed against the Blacks.

It wasn't long ago that Whites would just let these hate crimes go, but things seem to be changing.

ABOUT THE SCHOOLS IN COSTA MESA AS A REFLECTION OF THE QUALITY OF THE COMMUNITY
At Tuesday's City Council meeting, one of the points that the CM PRESS made was that because of actions or non-actions of the Costa Mesa City Council, Costa Mesa is trending more like Santa Ana than Newport Beach.

This trend is troubling for a number of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that Newport Beach and Costa Mesa have traditionally been joined at the hip for many years and even have just one school district for the two cities.

And, it is the schools in the district that give us some objective data on just how far Costa Mesa is falling away from Newport Beach.

It is objective data that intelligent people look for when making decisions, because objective data is not emotional and is not biased. Numbers are numbers and they paint a picture of the health of schools and a city. These numbers--the statistics--are the equivalent of having your vital signs taken if you go to a hospital.

However, lefties often try to ignore the facts and ask you to ignore them. They prefer to substitute emotional nonsense for reality.

In the comments following the almost daily Daily Pilot's article about Councilperson Katrina Foley's childish outburst at Tuesday's City Council meeting (LINK)we find such emotional, fact devoid, comments such as this one below:

gericault wrote on Mar 4, 2010 10:41 PM: *

" Well spoken stevemesinger, Estancia is the best biggest lttle high school around. My daughter is straight A's and thriving. The campus is great and the new improvements first class. My son attends Tewinkle Middle, and the improvements under Dr. Bauermiester have been amazing. Huge test score increases. Both my children attended Victoria elementary with outstanding results. This highly awarded top notch All American, California Distinguished school can go head to head with anything Newport has to offer.I'm sick of these "improvers' telling us how awful everything is. I'm there everyday and have been for almost ten years.Katrina has been too. "

So, is gericault correct? What's the truth about our schools? Well, here are some facts (2008-09 school year) from the NMUSD website:

------------------------------------------------

Estancia High School is 25.19% White

English-Language Arts: 41% of students are proficient or advanced

Mathematics: 20% of students are proficient or advanced

Science: 43% of students are proficient or advanced

History-Social Science: 37% of students are proficient or advanced

---------------------------------------------------------

Corona del Mar High School is 85.37% White

English-Language Arts: 80% of students are proficient or advanced

Mathematics: 49% of students are proficient or advanced

Science: 69% of students are proficient or advanced

History-Social Science: 60% of students are proficient or advanced

-----------------------------------------------------------

Other lefties will say that the above comparison isn't fair because Corona del Mar is a wealthier community than Costa Mesa. Well, yes, Corona del Mar may be wealthier. But, remember, both high schools are in the same district. Both have the same or very similar physical facilities. They have the same or similar teachers. They both spend about the same amount of money on students.

You see, "wealth," per se, has no direct correlation to student scores.

The question is this: Suppose you are an upwardly mobile parent and you want the best for your kids. Which of the above schools would you prefer to have your kids attend? And, which community--Costa Mesa or Corona del Mar--just based on the above statistics, would you expect to have a higher standard of living, less crime, fewer gangs, less graffiti, fewer charities, fewer homeless people, fewer slums? Hmmmm.

Now, upon reading the immediately preceding paragraph, many lefties will start making other excuses about why the two schools are so different and why, and this is our real point--the two cities are so different. You see, that's what lefties do. They bury their heads in the sand while singing kumbaya.

They refuse to take personal responsibility for the way things are. They prefer to mouth meaningless cliches such as Foley saying that she loves living in Costa Mesa because it's so "diverse," instead of seeing and understanding the reality and instead of trying to improve things.

HERE'S OUR SALIENT POINT: Costa Mesa should be more like Newport Beach than Santa Ana, and it's up to the City Council to make it so.

A "Greg Ridge, Costa Mesa" also shows up on an "OC Latinos for Obama," list as a member or supporter. LINK

  1. Keep on writing and going to Council meetings, I support you in spirit. People in Costa Mesa needs more like you.

Wendy Leece is a brainwashed self-hating white liberal. That's all I can say. Liberalism is a disease, I'm firmly convinced of it.

Does she go on the Westside much? It's a cesspool. I rarely go to that side unless I have to. It's dense traffic, and I see tons and tons of spanish speaking people talking in spanish with their boat load of kids that we're all paying for.

West side is the chocolate side. Crap!

East side is the Vanilla side, good!

The illegals are here because Costa Mesa businesses still continue to hire illegals. That's why I stopped going to any restaurant or fast food in Costa Mesa as I know the cook and the dishwasher are probably illegal. Until these people self deport, I'll continue to eat at home.

Diveristy and multiculturalism does not work and never will. The illegal aliens from Mexico need to be taken back to their host country and fix their own internal problems.

  3. As residents of the Westside my family appreciates you speaking out. We are seeing some positive change but it's slow... Please keep it up!

Last Saturday we saw a medium size yellow Penske moving truck park on the south side of Canyon Park. The driver got out went to the rear of the truck and opened the roll up door. 8 younger Latino men popped out. They went into the park to play soccer.
