Instead, go to the Costa Mesa Public Square facebook page HERE. It has now passed 3,000 members and is growing fast. You can join very easily. It'll cost you nothing.
And, if you're one of those who is face book adverse, all you need to do is set up a bare bones facebook page for yourself. You don't need to fill in much about yourself other than your name. Then you can just see what everyone is saying and join in the conversations or not join in ever if you wish.
There are a couple of other local face book pages, but they're full of childish personal attacks and insults from the local haters. By contrast, the Costa Mesa Public Square facebook page keeps the haters and personal attacks out. It is for adults who know how to disagree without being disagreeable and who do focus on issues rather than making personal attacks.
BTW, I have nothing to do with the Costa Mesa Public Square facebook page other than that I comment over there from time to time on issues that I think are important to help improve Costa Mesa.

Eleven new single family homes with 54 parking spaces have replaced twelve dilapidated apartments with a scant 26 parking spaces.
This is called IMPROVEMENT, folks.
Mayor Mensinger gives lots of credit to the Planning Commission and especially to Colin McCarthy for bringing this great improvement to fruition.
Colin McCarthy? Say, that reminds me, Colin would be a great addition to the city council.
Colin is smart and has a family with young kids. He has a real stake in making Costa Mesa a great place for his family and he's been doing that with his work on the Planning Commission. He could do even more with a seat on the council.

DA WON'T FILE CHARGES OVER COSTA MESA'S 60TH PARTY
And, as you might expect, the really stupid haters are saying the DA is siding with his "friends" on the Costa Mesa city council, and they're calling for an expensive and silly forensic audit.
And, if the council is goofy enough to try to appease these nutjobs by spending the money on a forensic audit and the results come back showing there were no crimes involved, the same stupid haters will claim the audit was crooked.
These really stupid haters are our local flat worlders, folks. They're the low I.Q. types who walk among us who should be ignored. This is more than just liberals vs. conservatives--it's neurotic and really stupid nutjobs versus sane and intelligent citizens.
