NOW IT'S ARCHBISHOP DOLAN TELLING THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO BUTT OUT OF CHURCH AFFAIRS
It looks as though the Catholic Church is tired of the Obamatics telling the Church to violate its moral codes.
This is an issue that will probably have long legs unless Obama backs down. Don't be surprised if the Pope weighs in if this continues.
As we wrote before, this is more than just a contraceptive issue. It has to do with separation of church and state and religious freedom. With this in mind, you can also expect many non-Catholic churches and religious organizations to get involved.

MR. TOM HAS ANOTHER NUTTY COLUMN/LETTER IN THE DAILY PILOT
Mr.Tom and his wife Ms.Eleanor seem to be taking turns writing nonsense columns and letters about the good Councilmembers and, in this case, about a Planning Commissioner.
Instead of focusing on making the Westside (where Mr. Tom and Ms. Eleanor live) nicer, they seem to put a lot of effort into attacking those who are trying to fix the Westside and the city generally.

Isn't it funny how Tom slams the School Board all of the time, but when a resident dare attack the union contracts we're stuck with, they're out of line. Another note on Mr. Egan. His wife is a former City employee who draws a City pension. Hmmmmm, no conflict there.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall Egan slamming the school board. On the contrary, he has been a huge supporter of this do-nothing board that can't fix the CM schools. Are there two Tom Egans?
