Yup, the country is in big trouble and the Obama administration isn't doing the right things to get us out of the trouble.

NEW INFO ON STOP THE NIGHTMARE DREAM ACT AND HOW YOU CAN HELP RIGHT NOW!  [Also, we would like to see action on the Westside from the City Council]

And, by the way, where is our own Assemblyman Allan Mansoor?  Has anyone seen him do anything for Costa Mesa since he was elected to the State Assembly?

As you can see from a comment from a reader, some believe that Mansoor is doing nothing at all about illegal aliens.

Folks, the CM PRESS has always said that we have no friends in politics.  This is a conscious decision on our part so we don't feel obligated to support anyone if they go astray or do little or nothing.  We still maintain that position starting right at the Costa Mesa level and going right up through all national offices.

We really believe that talk is cheap.  We want action from our politicians.  And, we want to see them get their priorities straight so we are benefited right here in Costa Mesa.

Right now, the state GOP is on a kick to reform pensions and this is being copied at the county and city level.  It's a good and needed cause, but there are other things that need to be done.

For example, we want to see the Westside of Costa Mesa improved in big and meaningful ways.

We want to see the ethnic ghettos there broken apart so all areas of the Westside will be comfortable and safe for all citizens including those with young kids and for upwardly mobile professionals.

We don't want to hear any citizens apologizing to business associates because they live on any street on the Westside (as we have heard) and we don't want citizens to be afraid they'll be attacked by gangs because of the color of their skin if they go to the Westside.

We want change and we want it now.

The new Council has been on the dais long enough to get their bearings and be able to see what needs to be done and to take the necessary steps.  We want to see that happen.

City Council, please get rid of the ethnic ghetto neighborhoods.

DAILY PILOT ARTICLE ABOUT THE COURT UPHOLDING THE UNION POSITION ON EMPLOYEE CONTRACTS--FOR NOW

All this shows is that this one judge believes the contract has language that can be interpreted in more than one way.  Ambiguity is the lawyer's stock in trade, so it behooves Costa Mesa to make sure its contracts are properly crafted to eliminate ambiguity.

EGYPT UNREST STIRS FEAR IN ISRAEL

The new unrest threatens to topple the military leaders who could have been, ah, bought  made to see reason about keeping Egypt a mostly secular country friendly to Israel and the West.

In fact, as we've written before, Egypt and many other nations in that region are likely going to follow the Iran model of governance and have elected secular governments, that can be overruled by  supreme leaders who are religious and who are less likely to be able to be bought off since they are mostly little concerned about material wealth.

SPEAKING OF NEWT GINGRICH AND SPEAKING OF DUMB...

Did you notice at last night's debate that dopey Gingrich spoke of illegal aliens being here for 25 years or so and going to church and being good citizens (sic)?  Ah, Newtie, an illegal alien is not a citizen of the U.S.

START YOUR OWN NON-PROFIT IN COSTA MESA AND GET GREAT JOB SECURITY AND THE PRAISE OF THE SWELLS FOR YOUR COMPASSION

-Tired of working for others?
-Want a career in which the local newspaper will praise you?
-Want your neighbors to look up to you?
-Want to get awards from the City Council?
-Want a car allowance and a new car?
-Want police officers and firefighters to come to your events with their police cars and fire trucks?

We have the answer:  START YOUR OWN COSTA MESA NON-PROFIT!

Remember, "non-profit" just refers to the organization not making a profit.  You, personally, as an officer/employee of your very own non-profit organization, can make big bucks.

What will the purpose of your non-profit be?  Well, it always pays to say you're doing something for the children.  That's a real heart tug and can get you some big contributions and praise.

How much money can you make?  The sky's the limit.  The more "clients" you find for your non-profit, the more profitable it can be for you.

Where should you locate your non-profit?  Why, Costa Mesa of course. Preferably on the Westside. The City has many non-profits and is an easy city in which to operate.

Also, the other non-profits have already done much of the work for you because they've been drawing charity clients here for years.  Remember, a client can be shared with other non-profits.

Here's where you can get more information.

We will now all bow our heads and mumble in churchy voices: Come prey with us.

By the way, have you noticed all the non-profits on the Westside that help kids with homework?

With all the help, one has to wonder why the schools they attend still have low average scores.  Say, there's an idea for you. Why not start yet another homework help charity.  Do it for the kids.

ARMED ILLEGALS STALKED BORDER AGENTS IN THE U.S.

Meanwhile, at last night's GOP presidential debate, fat head phony Newt Gingrich called for amnesty for about 11 million illegal aliens but refused to use the term "amnesty."

1,750 FREE FOOD BAGS GIVEN OUT ON SKID ROW IN COSTA MESA  IN SKID ROW MESA

The war against improving Costa Mesa and especially the Wastside rages on as the charities keep making many people who are in the country illegally, and who can't afford to live in Costa Mesa, comfy and warm here.

You'll note from the above article that there's no talk about giving out even a single free bag of food in our sister city Newport Beach.

Now, why is that?  Newport Beach could become "kind and compassionate" just like Costa Mesa.

It could allow an over concentration of charities in some of its neighborhoods.  It could have local citizens throw beautiful people charity parties to support the local charities.  It could welcome in thousands of illegal aliens and cry with them if a few are deported.  It could allow the building of functionally obsolete apartment buildings and illegal garage apartments. It could do all the things that Costa Mesa is doing to drive the city down.

But, if you are one of the Water Drinkers (see story below), you may be saying: "Wow,Hay, CM PRESS, you must be dum. Thay dint give out no bags of fud in Newpot cause thay ain't no por piples thayr. Ha, ha, ha, ha, you so dum."

To which we reply: Put in the charities and give out the freebies and they'll come. That's what's happening in Costa Mesa.

Yes, Newport could be just like Costa Mesa.

Fortunately, for the citizens of Newport Beach, there are enough people in that city who refuse to let their city become a new Skid Row and they have a City Council that works hard to maintain and improve their city.

One suspects that if the average I.Q. scores of Newporters were compared to Costa Mesans, you'd see a marked difference.  And this, of course, brings me to...

THE WATER DRINKERS

I wrote a short story once about a city where the I.Q. of most of the residents fell by just a few points because of something in the water.

What happened in the fictional city after the few point I.Q. drop wasn't major at first.  Little things that most people didn't notice started going wrong. The streets became a little more dirty.  The buses weren't on time. Crime started rising. A few more homeless people seemed to be around. Some more charities opened. Some national chain stores closed and were replaced by second hand stores.  Upwardly mobile citizens who hadn't been drinking the water moved away.  The school scores declined.

While the city was declining, the pillars of the community were talking about compassion for those who were needy and how everyone had to help them.  But there sure seemed to be a growing crowd of those who needed help in this once fine city.  Oh well, times were tough. Right?  Why, it was just natural. Of course, if the dumbed down citizens had been even half bright they would have noticed that the city next door was still  very prosperous.

As time went on, the cumulative effect of all the small things that were going wrong added up and the city became a slum, but the Water Drinkers hardly noticed and they kept believing the talk about compassion.

Oh, by the way, the CM PRESS will now probably get a message from one of the Water Drinkers who often writes us and says things such as: "If you don't like Costa Mesa you should move to sum (sic) other city."

  1. To Clarity: Sorry, I don't know the date or even if that happened.

Many believe that someone had to sacrifice a position to avoid problems and the person you mentioned was the designated one who did it for the team.

  2. The name "Non Profit" is the biggest misnomer and hoax ever committed against the public.

People wrongly assume that such organizations, or businesses, make no profit. WRONG!!!

The profit produced by "Non Profits" are simply paid to the officers, as opposed to stockholders. That is because non profit corporations have no stockholders.

It took me a lifetime to learn this.
