UPDATE ON CHEROKEES' ATTEMPT TO SAVE THEMSELVES FROM SLOW GENOCIDE

As we previously reported, the Cherokees booted Blacks out of the tribe.  Then, the Feds stepped in and said that Fed money would be withheld if the Cherokees didn't give Blacks a right to vote on tribal matters including their continued inclusion in the tribe.

So far, it seems the Cherokees understand that blood is what makes a Cherokee a Cherokee. 

More, perhaps, in a few days as things get sorted out in the Cherokee Nation.

Genocide takes many forms.  It's not just marching armies and gas chambers. Sometimes it's carried out by destroying a people by slick contracts and destroying their language and culture.

It's not just Indians who have been subject to various forms of slow genocide.

The Irish... 

The Brits tried to destroy the Irish by outlawing the Gaelic language in Ireland (the Irish just call this language "Irish").  Today, many Irish are relearning the Irish language and are taking the original Irish versions of their names.

Consider the name Monahan, as in Mayor Gary Monahan of Costa Mesa, as a quick example of how Irish names have been changed under English pressure. 

The name "Monahan," in Ireland today, is usually spelled "Monaghan," but even that is an English version. In the Irish language, Monahan/Monaghan is Muineachan.

So, the next time you go to to a certain Irish pub over on Newport Blvd., remember the proprietor's real name is Skosh Muineachan...er, except "Skosh," is Japanese and means a tiny bit of whatever and if Gary wanted to stay consistently Irish, his bar should actually be called Bideach Muineachan (or, Tiny Monahan).

O.C. REGISTER HAS ARTICLE ON WHICH O.C. CITIES SPEND LESS ON PUBLIC SAFETY

Why do cities such as Newport Beach spend so much less on public safety than, say, Santa Ana?

It's simple, Newport Beach doesn't have to spend as much.  Why?  Check the demographics.

Mostly White cities are safe cities.  This is true here in O.C. and it's true all across the nation.

However, the O.C. REGISTER twists itself into a PC pretzel of  false cause logic in trying to explain--without mentioning the racial/ethnic  make up of the population of the cities--why certain cities spend less on public safety than others:

"This is a complicated stew: The six cities that spent less than half on public safety are generally smaller and located in south county; two of them are right on the water, which means their coffers are buoyed by higher property values and tourism dollars (something the likes of Santa Ana, Westminster, Stanton and Garden Grove don’t enjoy)."

Ah, yes, O.C. Register, and the sun came up today because the rooster crowed.

MUTATION CAUSES PEOPLE TO BE BORN WITHOUT FINGERPRINTS

Nature constantly tinkers with all organisms and mutations of all types are now understood to be common.

The no-fingerprints mutation is a result of a change to gene SMARCAD1. 

As with most genes, this one has more than one effect, and people with the no-fingerprints mutation also have fewer sweat glands.

As they are studied, other variations in these people may be discovered.

In terms of classical evolution, if this mutation gives these people a survival advantage, natural selection will increase the prevalence of the mutation.  If it gives them a survival disadvantage, then natural selection will eliminate this gene from the gene pool.
