ON MSNBC SHOW CAIN IS "ACCUSED" OF TRYING TO DIMINISH HIS OWN ETHNICITY

Yes, dear readers, you read that right. 

If Blacks diminish their ethnicity, i.e.  if they don't wear their Blackness all the time, they are accused of not wanting to be Black or it is said that they are not authentically Black.

White folks, on the other hand, are always supposed to diminish their own ethnicity and this is considered praise worthy. 

If Whites don't diminish their own ethnicity they are called names such as "racist," and "white supremacist," but when a Black doesn't diminish his own ethnicity he is praised.

See how it works? 

Are you one of those who is still playing along with this nonsense? Or, have you decided to take back your right to be as you are and actually like yourself as you are?

If you want to comment, the best way of getting through is by using your real name.  If you are afraid to use your real name, then maybe you shouldn't make the comment you want to make.

If you want to remain anonymous, just don't smear anyone or engage in name calling and we may post your comment if we think it adds something to the conversation.

If your comment doesn't appear, don't take it personally. Remember, the CM PRESS  is an advocate for the improvement of Costa Mesa.  We're not going to put comments up that we think may harm improvement or those who are helping with improvement.

If you have tips about things that may need looking into and you want to remain anonymous, just let us know this--in this case, you can use a fictitious name.  Be clear that you don't want the comment to appear and we'll honor that.

SOME U.S. OFFICIALS QUESTION OBAMA'S RATCHETING UP OF IRAN HATE

Trying to tie a used car salesman from Texas to the highest ranks of the Iranian government in a silly plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. is laughable.

It all sounds like a typical neo-con scheme to get the U.S. into yet another meaningless war that will see the kids of lower and middle class Americans die for no reason.

CITY COUNCIL: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU APPOINT TO COMMITTEES

On Tuesday, the City Council will appoint members to various city committees. 

The CM PRESS has reviewed the letters of application and resumes of all candidates [HERE], and we believe there may be an attempt by some who oppose the good Councilmembers or Improvement or who are dyed in the wool liberals or  union plants to infiltrate the committees.

While these committees pay nothing, they do put members close to the levers of power in City Hall, and they're often gateways to running for office and/or helping with organizing an opposition right within City Hall.

The CM PRESS believes that one of the applicants is a person who we have previously identified internally as a hate commenter who often posts under a fictitious name in the Daily Pilot attacking the good Councilmembers and their families.

We also recognize the name of another applicant who is opposed to the good Councilmembers.

In addition to the above two individuals, we have a hunch that several other applicants are applying for reasons other than that they just want to help the good Councilmembers get the city on the right track.
