Writer of the above linked column calls the top cop a coward. I don't buy that. I think he may be neurotic and full of noblesse oblige racism, but he's probably not a coward. Read the linked column and see what you think.
You're no doubt going to hear more about this loony police chief before someone tells the guy to take a hike.

STILL NO WORD ON A NEW POLICE CHIEF FOR CM
[Photo of A-Frame sign pulled around Costa Mesa during the last election by out of town cops who butted into our election. This sign has come to represent what most citizens do not want from a police department.]
Some of the folks are not happy with the secrecy surrounding the selection of a new police chief.
We don't know who is involved in interviewing the prospective chiefs, but we've heard that at least three citizens whose names are a secret are part of the interview process. Furthermore, we don't even know who is being interviewed.
The City has not done a good job in selecting chiefs in the past, so many in the community are concerned about being shut out of this process.
Will yet another lefty get the job who will ignore the wishes of the legal residents and give away free food to illegal aliens and let them know that they're welcome in Costa Mesa (a city in which former chiefs have not lived)?
Expect outrage from activist citizens if the wrong person is selected again.

WOMAN SAYS CHICAGO OFFICIALS COVERING UP BEACH CRIMES
Chicago beach was closed down and officials said it was because of the heat. (?)
Woman says she saw fights, a woman being beaten, and other crimes and that's the real reason the beach was closed down.
You have to read other sources and comments to get to the fact that it was blacks causing the violence.

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO FIGHTS DAVID HAYE THIS WEEKEND
Klitschko has to take away Haye's bicycle, and will probably have to knock him out to keep Haye from winning on points.
Haye promises some cute stuff. If he brings it, will Klitschko be able to read it and adapt?

MICHIGAN TAKES OVER BENTON HARBOR AND APPOINTS AN EMERGENCY FINANCIAL MANAGER TO RUN THE PLACE
What do you do when a city becomes so Third World that it can't run itself? Michigan has an idea.
What's missing from the above linked story? That's right: Demographics. Here they are.

CM Press, it shouldn't be lost upon your readers that the vehicle pulling that awful sign against Mr. Righeimer was a $60,000 Cadillac Escalade owned by a certain Police Officer whom we all know and who lives in South County. Take our money, leave our City but attack candidates here. Just terrible!
ReplyDeleteYes Barry, and keep in mind that $60,000 Cadillac Escalade was paid for by us super stupid taxpayers!
ReplyDeleteI can only assume that most of the taxpayers are as sick as I am of being robbed by our cops. There's not a bit of difference between the average bank robber, and our Costa Mesa cops. All they want to do is take our money and run down to South County to spend it.
Jim Righeimer, my family is firmly behind you, and your helpers. Thank God somebody cares about Costa Mesa!!!
CM Press,
ReplyDeleteWhat is the legality of placing "Cancel the Layoffs" signs everywhere? Can any citizen remove them if they are on public property like parkways?

ReplyDeleteSee Chapter VIII, Article 6.5.
According to the municode, no sign owner may place more than 10 signs within the city. There are almost 10 signs in my immediate neighborhood, and considerably more just in my tract.
ReplyDeleteClearly from the municode these signs are breaking the law:
ReplyDeleteFrom Title 13 Chapter VIII Article 6.5:
Time period. A portable sign shall only be displayed during the time period between 6 a.m. on Friday to 6 p.m. on Sunday of any week period.
(6)Number. The total number of portable signs per owner or its agent pursuant to this section shall not exceed ten (10) signs in the city at any one (1) time
Greece just announced that they will be reducing the pay of their public workers in order to get control of their finances.
ReplyDeleteWhy can't our city council do the same thing with our greedy city employees?
