The usual out of town union employees and their local shills are saying that the room was filled at the last City Council meeting and that the Council didn't listen to the vast majority of the people there who wanted the City to keep spending ever more money on employees.
We're sure the Council did listen.
However, it seems to us that the four adults on the Council are smart enough to know that opinions should be weighed not counted, and it appears that's what the Council did.
The proof is in the pudding. We have a balanced budget. And, it's big news whenever any government entity balances its budget and lives within its means.

I CONDUCTED AN AUDIT AT THE CM PRESS AND FOUND POTS OF GOLD HIDDEN AWAY!
Well, I've used Union Pal Wendy Leece's logic and discovered that I'm not broke after all.
Before the audit I actually thought I didn't have money for lots of things--such as a new Bentley or a new boat.
But, I did an audit and found I had money set aside in my left pocket for medical needs, insurance payments, food and a whole bunch of other things that I don't have to pay right this minute.
So, I just transferred that money from my left pocket to my right pocket and I've decided I have plenty of money and I can go out and spend it on other things right now.
What? You say that wouldn't be prudent and those bills for medical, insurance, food and all that other stuff are going to come due?
Stop thinking that way. You're thinking too fast. Think like Leece. Go slow. Remember, In God We Trust.

Wendy Leece voted against the balanced budget and the citizens of Costa Mesa and in favor of the out of town unions that spent thousands of dollars for her in the last election.

Don't worry. I've always voted for Wendy Leece, but I will never do so again. She talks softly, but carries a big stick and then tries to stick it to the taxpayers every chance she gets. Thank God we have four very level headed councilmen. Without them, eventually the city would not be able to make payroll.
ReplyDeleteWendy seems to be trying to force Costa Mesa into bankruptcy. I can't figure out why she is so ticked off at the city (could it a menopausal thing?). Maybe Wendy is working for the union in some kind of paid capacity. If so, wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? She has done absolutely NOTHING for the residents of this town.
