COLIN MCCARTHY REBUTS JEFFREY HARLAN'S STUPID COLUMN
Harlan's column was so stupid and so lacking in logic and so counter to what we've been writing for years and so opposite to what real estate professionals will tell you, that we didn't want to waste much time on it, so we just told you it was stupid. Really, really, really stupid. But, if you want a longer explanation about why it's stupid, be sure to read McCarthy's column.
We NEED more home ownership in Costa Mesa as stated by McCarthy. We do not need more rental units, which is Harlan's really, really stupid opinion.

UPDATE 7:45 AM--HERE'S another report on this incident. In this one, we learn that the man was 52-years-old and that he had a strong dislike for government. No name given yet. Still nothing in our local newspaper, the Daily Pilot. But you can read about a couple running a marathon and you can read that stupid column by the liberal Harlan.
UPDATE 2: The dead man has been identified as Kevin E. Harris. The Daily Pilot has a link to his rambling manifesto HERE.
We haven't been able to find any photos of Mr. Harris, but some will probably show up in the newspapers soon.
