STEVE MENSINGER WANTS CITIZENS TO SEE WHAT'S IN EMPLOYEE CONTRACTS BEFORE THE COUNCIL VOTES TO GIVE AWAY THE STORE
MUST READ ARTICLE: Folks, you must read the above Daily Pilot article because it clearly shows why Steve Mensinger deserves your vote in November and it also shows how the unions try to confuse you.
The article is an easy read so we'll keep this short.
Mensinger simply wants the citizens of Costa Mesa to be able to see what's in City employee contracts before the Council votes on them, and he also wants the City to start using professional negotiators in contract negotiations.
And, as you will see in the above article, one of the union reps is already having a conniption fit over the possibility of you seeing what's in the contracts.
The unions also don't like the prospect of having to deal with a professional negotiator instead of dealing with people that the unions may have helped elect to the Council.
Councilmember Mensinger's proposal will be voted on by the City Council tonight.
Expect to see a lot of union thugs and their local boot lickers among the CMFROGS there to whine about this. Also expect it to pass 4-1 with Goslow Wendy Leece supporting her union pals who helped elect her last time.

ReplyDeleteAs long as all employee contract negotiations are made public, I'm all for this. The public has the right to know what type of contract the City Manager, Asst. City Manager, Police Chief, etc., have negotiated before it is voted on by the council.
