WE'RE GETTING EXCITED ABOUT THE PRESIDENTIAL RACE THIS YEAR


We just read that independent expenditure groups that support the GOP will be pumping about a billion dollars into the campaign this year.  This is in addition to the regular campaign war chest of the Romney campaign.

We expect the Dems will probably try to come up with just as much money.

This excites us, because we think we may really have interesting things to watch as the campaigns unfold--unlike last time when we had stupid John McCain running.

As the incumbent, Obama has a built in advantage.

But, this year, we think his appeal based on being Black, won't be enough.  That's already been done. Oh, he'll get the Black racist vote, but as we've written before, we think many Whites are now emerging from their decades long sleep-walk and are no longer afraid to be White or to vote in their own best interests.

In addition, Romney has proven that he can adapt and fast step to changing conditions very quickly and come out on top. He did that in private business and we expect he'll be able to do that in this campaign.  So, we're excited to see the ads and PR that Romney uses in his attempt to defeat Obama.

Of course, the huge decision that Romney is now facing is to name a VP candidate.  This could be a critical decision and probably the most important one he makes.  He absolutely has to pick the right person.  A misstep here and his campaign could be doomed.

The CM PRESS has looked at the names mentioned as a possible VP candidate and if we were advising Romney, and with no more information than we now have, we'd be at a loss to recommend any of them as a running mate.  We have a favorite or two, but we're not sure they'd bring mojo to the campaign.

We're also picking up vibes that many voters are not going to look for any sort of political or philosophical purity from Romney and that many voters are going to vote for him just to defeat Obama.  This is good for Romney and will make it difficult for the Obamatics to smear Romney as too liberal or too conservative or too extremist or too this or too that.

We believe in competition--it is nature's way to find the best--and we think Romney is going to show that he competes to win.

Raceless, sexless suspect.

REPEAT: Below, again, is the press release from the CMPD about the intruder and the homeowner who shot at the intruder but missed the intruder.

Notice that the CMPD is not giving a description of the intruder.  Why do you suppose that's the case?  You know what that usually means, don't you?

The CMPD wants your help, but not only has the CMPD not released the race/ethnicity of the intruder, they haven't even released the intruder's gender.

So, if you see a, er, raceless, genderless suspect, call the CMPD.


On May 28, 2012, at about 2:41 A.M., an unknown suspect pried open the front door to a home in the 
2400 block of Elden Street. The homeowner was awakened by the noise and found the suspect in his 
bedroom. The suspect pepper sprayed the homeowner. The homeowner was able to retrieve his own 
handgun. The homeowner fired several shots at the suspect; however, the suspect was not struck. The 
suspect was last seen running eastbound down the driveway. There is no loss reported at this time, and 
there are no further details or suspect description to provide.
