May shed light on aging. One thought is that just a few genes are involved in aging. Sequencing her genes and comparing them to a normal genotype should reveal her mutated genes.

One toss away line in the above article--that could be a complete article by itself--is this truism that many people don't seem to understand: "Mice are genetically very close to humans."

The real point about mice and men is that very minor differences in the genome make a major difference in the final product produced by that genome. So, when you hear people say that all humans are the same, remember this about minor differences having major effects.

We doubt that will happen. Here's why: If Arizona prevails--and we think it will--it may set a nation wide precedent and start returning rights to the states that the Feds have usurped over the past several decades.

Furthermore, we think the Supreme Court may reason, as we did in an earlier CM PRESS, that you can always delegate your authority, but you can never delegate your responsibility.

In other words, if the Feds don't do the job that you have delegated to them, you may revoke that delegation and do the job yourself.

Or, in even other words, you don't have to be a helpless victim of crime just because the cops don't show up.

You always have the right to self-defense. That's what Arizona is doing for its citizens since the Feds aren't doing it.

The Daily Pilot article linked to above reads 51 to be cut, but that's just full time employees. Part time positions are also on the chopping block.

We hate to see any employees laid off; not because we think most citizens will notice any difference in service, but because the City Council keeps spending our money like drunken sailors and could save jobs if they were more frugal.

Hopefully, the City will save some jobs by cutting programs that help illegal aliens.

And, also hopefully the City will make further cuts through normal attrition instead of layoffs.
