The location of Wednesday’s CMPD checkpoint was on 19th Street at Pomona Avenue.
690 Vehicles traveled through the checkpoint
343 Drivers screened
3 DUI suspects arrested
13 Citations issued for license violations
6 Vehicles impounded for 30 days
Pretty intense checkpoint. Every other car that passed through the checkpoint had its driver screened. Good. If that's what it takes to get impaired drivers off our streets before they kill someone, then that's what has to be done.
