THE DESTRUCTION OF AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT

A nation is its people. They are the primary ingredient in the recipe that makes a nation the way it is.

Change the proportions in that recipe and you change the nation.

Traditional America, which controlled  immigration so that it helped America and which did not swamp the nation with too many newbies allowed America to grow from within and  retain stability.

If amnesty becomes law and millions of illegal aliens--have nots--are given the vote, these have nots will quickly vote to take from the haves--traditional Americans--and give to the have nots.

SHORT REVIEW OF ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT

Not as funny as the original.  Poor casting of some of the smaller parts. Timing off.  Writing is muddled. Direction needs direction. Idea of focusing individual episodes on  a different leading character isn't working.
Situations aren't always funny.

The original Arrested Development was side splitting funny with jokes, double entendres, and sight gags coming so fast that it was almost impossible to stop laughing.  The new Arrested Development has a few laughs but they're too far apart. It seems tired.

In the original series, Jason Bateman, who plays the relatively sane Michael, was a perfect unperturbed straight man whose acting was superb and subtle and was a perfect counterpoint to the rest of the cast.  In the present version, that seems to have been lost.

Performances by the rest of the cast also seem to be just a little off.  When you see so many good actors who made us laugh in the first series all unable to click, you really have to look at the direction and the script rather than the actors for answers as to what is going wrong.

Saving grace:  It's still funny.  It's just not as funny as the original.
