CM PRESS # 970

Wendy emoting with firm lips.
WILL WENDY LEECE BE AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT OR HAS SHE GONE TO THE DEMOCRAT CONVENTION?

Wendy likes to tell everyone that she's a Republican, but her positions are almost 100% Democrat.

You know the line from a popular song that says "She'll tell you that she's an orphan after you've met  her family" --well to us, that sums up Wendy.

ANOTHER HOMICIDE IN COSTA MESA THIS MORNING--IN MESA NORTH
[UPDATE: A later press release seems to indicate that this may have been a love triangle. The victim has still not been identified.]

Brief press release from the CMPD:

SINGLE FAMILY HOMEOWNERS IN MESA DEL MAR BEING IMPACTED BY CARS FROM THE NEARBY MISSION/MENDOZA SLUM WANT RESIDENT ONLY PARKING ON BALLOW LANE

Folks, one of the worst slums we have in Costa Mesa is the Mission/Mendoza slum in Mesa del Mar.

And, it's a crying shame that lefties such as Katrina Foley and Wendy Leece and their running dog pals won't do anything meaningful about the slums.

Mesa del Mar would be on a par with Mesa Verde if it didn't have the cancerous Mission/Mendoza slum in its midst.
Valencia St. in the Mission/Mendoza
slum

The Mission/Mendoza slum is chock full of functionally obsolete, slab-sided, barracks style buildings that are lined up along a couple of streets as though they were built by WWII  construction crews as temporary quarters for military personnel during basic training.

In fact, they remind me of the barracks I lived in at Parris Island during my Marine boot camp days.

A few years ago when Katrina Foley was on the City Council, she made a big show of "improving"
the Mission/Mendoza slum.

So, what were her improvements?  Well, Foley and a bunch of volunteers went to the slum on a weekend and they planted flowers in front of the slum buildings and did some minor painting and other repairs to fences.

It didn't help.  Why?  Because, as we mentioned above, the slum buildings and the whole slum neighborhood is functionally obsolete.  It can't be fixed with flowers and paint. That's what functionally obsolete means.

Look, the slum buildings were built back in a day when a certain level of occupancy was expected in the individual units.  They were built before a major influx of illegal aliens who double and triple up families in small units.

Before the present doubled up and tripled up families, the earlier single family per unit residents only had one or two cars per unit to park. Back then, the parking was adequate. Now, with the doubled up and tripled up families, each unit is putting many more cars into those once adequate parking spaces.

Today, the parking is no longer adequate. The over crowded slum residents have to park someplace, so they're now dropping their cars in front of single family homes on adjacent streets such as Ballow Lane.

And, that, dear friends is why the residents of Ballow Lane want restricted paring on their street.  They paid a lot of money for their homes and they want to be able to park in front of them.

What should the City do about the Mission/Mendoza and other slums?

It should buy up and raze some of the buildings and turn the then empty lots into additional parking.

And, that's just for starters.

All you lefties who live in Mesa del Mar who are knocking the good Council Members and the 3Ms and who are supporting your fellow lefties the 3Frogs, better understand that your vote for the 3Frogs just means more flowers in front of the slums, but a vote for the 3Ms can lead to a thinning of the slums.

You better start voting in your best interest instead of voting for the flowers for the slums crew.
