MAN STABBED OUTSIDE SHARK CLUB ON BAKER STREET IN NORTH COSTA MESA
The CM PRESS is supposed to get press releases from the CMPD, yet we didn't get one on this stabbing.
Instead, we've been getting puff press releases about cops getting awards for nabbing drunk drivers and similar things.
And, why is the CMPD not releasing the names of the suspects who were arrested in this stabbing?

SOME OF THE COMPETITION WE FACE---10,700 SPANKING NEW HOMES TO BE BUILT AROUND THE GREAT PARK
The First 700 homes are now being built.
So, where will young upwardly mobile families want to live and raise their kids? Will they choose new communities with similar families and shared American dreams or will they choose Costa Mesa with low school scores, charities up the ying yang and a whole bunch of pathological altruists who keep puffing the charities and services for illegal aliens?
We have to say it again. Costa Mesa is competing for the best citizens with every other city. If we lose the competition we will fall ever lower.
In this competition, we don't have to attract every upwardly mobile family, we just have to attract enough so that Costa Mesa keeps moving up.
Are we doing enough to attract them? We don't think so. We need to do more to improve the Westside and we need to do it fast. We especially need to get W. 19th Street turned into a cafe society street instead of a street known for a soup kitchen, pawn shops, thrift stores, liquor stores and other downscale uses.
To bring in these improvements we need to make sure the City Council has the right people on it who have the vision and the talent to make things happen.
We need to elect the 3Ms. They're the right people at the right time.

THE PHONY CHARTER CONTROVERSY
Folks, if you like smaller, closer to the people, government and more local control, vote yes on Measure V--the Costa Mesa charter.
It's no more complicated than that even though the haters and bigots are trying to confuse you with their usual hateful and ignorant comments and attempts to suggest potential problems where none exist.
Measure V gives Costa Mesa citizens more control of our own destiny.
