CM PRESS # 971

STEVE MENSINGER HAS A MUST READ COLUMN IN THE DAILY PILOT

The Pot
Steve straightens out some of the math about the total compensation of the Pilot's two human interest subjects (Billy Folsom and Mike Ruhl) that was in a recent column.  Hint:  They get a lot more than the Pilot indicated.

And, immediately following Steve's column is a comment from one of the lefty rapid response team.  Yes, it's the character you can see in the photo to the left who aptly calls himself the Pot something or other. No, we didn't photo shop that photo.

We now expect Karin Ahlf to post her rapid response attaboy to the Pot's goofy comment.  Ho hum.  The lefties are even more predictable this election season  than in the past.

Steve Mensinger thinking

STEVE MENSINGER'S COIN ORDINANCE PASSES

And, some of you thought this guy was just a bone headed jock.

Both Steve Mensinger and Jim Righeimer have brought fresh eyes and new thinking to the City Council.

And, both of them seem to constantly look at the way government has run for so many years and ask "Why?" "Why are things done this way?'  "Why not this other way?" "Why not change things if we can save money and run things more efficiently?"

Meanwhile, some of the lefties who hate change, who love the status quo, who worship big bloated government and who are groupies for anyone in a uniform, slither up to the podium at City Council meetings week after week to say some of the stupidest things against the improvements that Mensinger and Righeimer are bringing in.

It is said that geniuses have a child's view of existence.  They don't accept anything as the way it is, but constantly ask "Why?"  And, more, they are never afraid to ask that big "Why?" while other lesser souls fear that they may be ridiculed if they question the way things have always been done.

Maybe both Mensinger and Righeimer have a touch (or more) of genius about them.

We can certainly use more of their type of thinking in Costa Mesa, and if it keeps up we may have to change the name of the city to Costa Mensa.
