This story is from Ga. However, a couple of years ago, the CM PRESS spotted similar improbable results in two schools in Costa Mesa and we wrote about it and brought it to the attention of some of our politicians and a dead tree newspaper.
Nothing ever developed and the public story was that the schools and parents just worked really, really hard to get the scores up.
We still don't buy it.

SCHOOLS FACE BIG BUDGET HOLES AS PHONY STIMULUS MONEY RUNS OUT

Months ago, the CM PRESS wrote that Obama's stimulus programs were phony. They stimulated nothing. They were just unoffical bridge loans over budget holes.
The Obamatics thought that the economy would come roaring back all on its own and the jobs saved by the stimulus bridge loans would then just continue on and people would believe that Obama saved the economy.
The economy won't come back all on its own, and here's why: The U.S. has been on the wrong track for years. The bigs in D.C. and elsewhere believed that we could send all our dirty factories "over there" (Mexico, China, India) and that we would all be prosperous paper pushers in a garden like U.S. with no factories, and no pollution and no finger nail dirtying work.
As a result, the U.S. economy has become an upside down pyramid. Instead of having a broad manufacturing and producing base, we have a broad paper pusher and middle man base, and the manufacturing and producing folks are the tiny point.
Actually, we can't blame Obama for all of this mess. It really started with George Bush, and my first columns about the upside down pyramid appeared during his administration.
The long term solution is to re-industrialize the U.S. There is no other way.

This is how you build a strong, long term movement--from the bottom up. Hopefully, these folks won't let some of the phony suits at the top of the GOP co-opt them.
The problem is that the phonies, seeing the parade coming down the street, will try to jump in front and claim they're leading it. And, the phonies are usually the slick pols who are able to get on TV all the time and talk out of both sides of their mouths.

Take the four letters of DNA (A,T,C,G) organize them in a certain way into 3 billion base pairs and you have a modern human. Change a few of those base pairs and you have a Neanderthal.
Change a few more and you have a cow or a mouse. Change some more and you have a fruit fly. More changes and you have a potato. Such is the nature of DNA--the recipe for life. The order is important. Minor changes make big differences.
Have no children, and you, like the Neanderthal, are an evolutionary dead end. The fittest survive and make more like themselves, the unfit die off.

TEA PARTIERS WANT TO RECALL SENATOR MENENDEZ

This case is interesting because the U.S. Constitution says that only the Senate may get rid of Senators.
The Tea Partiers, on the other hand, say that the voters who put a Senator in the Senate also have the right to recall the Senator.
