If you think there will be widespread protests in the military about gays serving openly, [buy Millard's books, they're for smart, good looking people] you don't know how the human subconscious works and how easy it is to manipulate people with proper conditioning techniques.

Speaking of rubber stamping things, the CM PRESS has constantly asked the City Council to stop rubber stamping the giving of our tax money to charities that are acting as magnets and which in some cases appear to be racially/ethnically discriminating.

  1. It is time to legalize pot for adults and stop wasting billions of dollars fighting a meaningless drug war. The drug war is a joke and is serving only to provide the police with toys, happily supplied by vendors who get rich off this sham. If we are serious about reducing government waste, start here.

  2. Marijuana triggers severe mental illness. It should never be trivialized. The damage it does is permanent. Anyone who condones marijuana use is a fool. That includes "doctors" who "prescribe" the stuff. Some people will do anything for the almighty buck, and that includes doctors.

Institutions for the most violently mentally ill in our society are full of souls destroyed due to use of this hallucinogen. It only takes a small amount to ruin a life. It should never be legalized.

  3. Mary Jane Witness: I am not trivializing pot and I resent you calling me a fool. I doubt your science and even if it were true, I could point to 1,000 cases where alcohol has destroyed lives for every one case of pot. Yet, I don't see you advocating alcohol prohibition. You don't want pot legalized, yet you have not condemned the phony war on drugs that is one of the greatest scams on the taxpayer in the nation's history.
