Why the secrecy about Chief Shawkey and Capt. Smith? And, what about Hubbard?
And, to add to Smith's request for information, how about the Stinkeye incident and the investigation of the cops who spoke to the press when Jim Righeimer questioned them about a misplaced DUI checkpoint?
Why aren't we being told what's going on? These people are all OUR employees. We have a right to know.

ReplyDeleteLet's hope this new city council will see the need for transparency. Taxpayers have a right to such information because knowledge is the only means by which we can put pressure on our leaders. How else can we know if our city officials are doing their jobs?
