CM PRESS # 516

I. YOUR LIBERAL AND PROGRESSIVE VOTING GUIDE FOR COSTA MESA

If you're a Democrat, a liberal or a progressive, consider giving your three votes to the following:

1. William Sneen speaks Spanish and lived in Mexico for several years. He also works for a company that markets to Latinos. He's also involved in various non-profits and with school issues. His wife used to be on the School Board.

2. Chris McEvoy speaks favorably of the Westside Latino culture and he'd be a good solid vote with Sneen and would help give Westside Latinos a voice. He'd also bring back the job center and help stop the divisiveness.

3. Chris Bunyan is the strongest environmentalist running and wants to keep homes out of Banning Ranch. He'd be a great choice to help bring in solar power and other alternatives including electric vehicles to replace city government's present gas guzzlers.

4. Lisa Reedy defended the massive Mission-Mendoza apartment complex in her Mesa del Mar neighborhood when improvers called the apartments slums that should be torn down. This is a major low-income housing project where many immigrants who work in our restaurants and other service businesses reportedly live.

5. Nick Moss is a Libertarian. He's the only Libertarian running. As you may know, the Libertarian Party wants open borders. Moss can probably be counted on to be a good progressive vote on the Council.

II. YOUR CONSERVATIVE, REPUBLICAN, IMPROVEMENT VOTING GUIDE FOR COSTA MESA

1. Jim Righeimer is the only person running who really understands the pluses and minuses of development. Well connected to county, state and national leaders, which should help with undergrounding the SR-55 and stopping the expansion of JWA. He's a crime fighter.

2. Gary Monahan is a seasoned veteran of the political wars and is a strong advocate for small businesses and keeping government from growing. Wants the SR-55 put underground and wants to stop JWA from expanding. He's a crime fighter.

3. Eric Bever is the current mayor. He's a strong advocate for giving incentives to homeowners to upgrade their homes which will help improve all of Costa Mesa. Wants the SR-55 put underground and wants to stop JWA from expanding. He's a crime fighter.

III. YOUR CONSERVATIVE, LIBERAL, REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRAT, PROGRESSIVE, LIBERTARIAN, FOR AND AGAINST, AND ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE VOTER GUIDE

Katrina Foley is the candidate who seems to stand for everything and nothing at the same time. If this also describes you, then Foley may be your candidate.

Foley is a registered Democrat who touts her support from leading liberal Democrats such as Loretta and Linda Sanchez, yet she paid to have her name put in a Republican Voter Guide with conservative Republicans Gary Monahan and Jim Righeimer. (We kid you not! We have a copy of the voter guide.)

Foley said she was against the ICE program initiated by Allan Mansoor but now says she's for the ICE program as it has evolved and which is responsible for booting almost a thousand poor, just looking for a better life, bicycle riding, bible teaching immigrants out of Costa Mesa and the United States.

Foley apparently doesn't like to take a firm stand on anything or firmly stand for anything.

If you like to hear sweet nothings and see a City Councilmember who is ineffective and can't get anything done to make Costa Mesa safer and nicer, then Foley is your candidate.
