There is a natural order in the universe.  It doesn't care what humans may think in any age.  It just works blindly, automatically and tirelessly.  It rewards those who understand it and who work with it, and it punishes those who work against it.

DAILY PILOT WILL TRY TO KEEP THE HATERS AND BIGOTS FROM POSTING THEIR FOUL COMMENTS WHICH ARE SOMETIMES LIBELOUS

As we reported previously, the OC REGISTER has also decided to do the same thing.

At the CM PRESS we long ago decided to not let haters and bigots use the CM PRESS to spew their hatred and bigotry.

We receive hundreds of comments, but you will see very few published.  A lot of the comments we get are great up to a point, but then in some cases something is slipped in that attacks someone else in the city or which is unsupported by any facts or which just doesn't add anything to the conversation.  We once considered just editing out the bad parts and letting the good parts stand, but then we decided against that.

Many of the comments we get are about another blogger, and while we think that blogger deserves the negative comments, we still  try to hold such comments back if they're anonymous and particularly strong.

However, if anyone wants to attack another blogger or a politician and if the comment isn't libelous and if the commenter signs his or her name, we may run it.

We will be looser about such things when they involve politicians or public figures, and when the commenter gives his or her real name and a way for us to verify that it is them, but the comments have to make sense.  We are not going to be a billboard for cowards who smear people, their kids and their families and who then hide behind false names.

For example, here's a comment that is over in the Daily Pilot today. If this had been sent to us, we wouldn't run it.  It's mostly unsupported opinion but since it's against politicians it wouldn't be considered libelous, but   it's just stupid and adds nothing to the conversation.  As to why it's stupid, look at our comments in [ ] that appear in Luminary's comment:

Interesting juxtaposition in the Daily Pilot today...

We first see this headline on a story about a woman who cooked and ate  part of the ribs of her husband:  "Woman who ate portion of murdered husband's remains denied parole"

And, immediately under the above story is this headline on another story:  "Public safety barbecue is Thursday"

I guess we can assume the woman in the first story won't be attending the barbecue on Thursday.

The first rule of a safe barbecue is to not be the main course.

DOES COSTA MESA NEED A CITIZEN COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE OVERSIGHT OF THE CMPD?

Many citizens who have contacted the CM PRESS are not pleased that the CMPD doesn't always release proper descriptions of outstanding violent criminal suspects.

The most recent case of this was the armed take-over robbery of a shoe store on W. 19th Street the other day in which the three suspects were only identified as "men."

Before that, there was another armed robbery on Bristol Street in which the CMPD also refused to release a proper description.

In both of the above cases, the violent and armed criminal suspects are out there someplace still running around with their guns.  Maybe they're on your street.  Maybe they're eyeing your home?  Maybe they're stalking your children? 

Doesn't it just make common sense to release proper and full descriptions of outstanding violent criminal suspects?

SPLC'S MISDIRECTION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

The CM PRESS saw and reported on some misdirection within the CMPD in the recent past.

Some of  the officers who were involved are still with the department. 

Whether these officers were misdirected by some so-called "anti-hate" organizations or not, we don't know, but we did see one officer give a presentation to high school students that used material from one such organization.

And then there was the report to the city council about gangs in Costa Mesa that the CM PRESS reported on in the past and most recently in CM PRESS # 559 (fourth article down--"About Costa Mesa's Misguided....").

As you will see in CM PRESS # 559 the CMPD just couldn't bring itself to tell the plain truth that all of the criminal street gangs in Costa Mesa are Latino and that they have a link to the high illegal alien population in the city and especially on the Westside.

Instead, the report said there are no White gangs in the city, but then it went on to talk about White gangs. Huh?

The Costa Mesa City Council voted last night to investigate having a private company run some things at Tewinkle Park like a business so that instead of all taxpayers supporting the activities of a few, the venue might actually make money for the tax payers, or at least may break even.

As usual, the haters and bigots are doing the chicken little dance about this being the end of the world. [HERE] Ho Hum.

We think this is a good move on the part of the City Council.  And, it's not really that big a deal.  This sort of thing is done all the time.  Go to your local beach and you'll usually find the concession stands--owned by the beach city--run by private companies who pay the city for the privilege of running the stands.

We'd like to see the City now get other "freebies" that we're all paying for put on a user pays basis. 

How about those community gardens?  They're really tiny farms and they're used by very few people, but we're all paying so they can grow a few organic carrots for themselves.  It'd be cheaper if we just bought them already grown carrots and gave them to them.

But, we understand the real motivation for many tiny farmers is often the tending of the tiny farms and they do it for the activity more than for the final results. 

In fact, the tending of the tiny farms is a hobby for the tiny farmers just as golf is a hobby for others.

Say, haters and and bigots, do we pay to let people play golf? Of course we don't. Those who play, pay.  The same principle should apply to the tiny farms and many other things that we're all now paying for.

So...

Get ready for some green comments... 

How about organizing a private Co-op of the tiny farmers and let them sell some of what they grow to pay the rent on the tiny farms?

At the same time (and this is critical), start a Co-op vermiculture business run by the tiny farmers and local students that will take restaurant and other usable wastes, including all the grass mowings from our parks, to feed to the worms who will work 24-hours-a-day to produce worm castings that can be used on the tiny farms and which can also be sold to homeowners and others so the whole thing pays for itself.

The board of directors of Costa Mesa, Inc. (you know the board as the City Council) is simply making the firm profitable for the share holders (the taxpaying citizens of Costa Mesa).

Sign pulled behind car by out of town
cops during last election.

 OUT OF TOWN COSTA MESA COPS STILL LOOKING FOR INVISIBLE ARMED ROBBERS WHO ROBBED A STORE ON W. 19TH STREET

HERE'S the Daily Pilot story on the above crime. On Sunday, we linked to the OC Register story on the same crime. 

Neither newspaper has published a proper description of the three robbers and we haven't seen a press release from the CMPD on the incident to see if the cops gave a description this time or not.

In the past, the CMPD has been very quick to send us press releases when they want to puff something about the department, but has been very slow to send us anything that might help citizens stay safe from armed at large criminals or even help citizens help the cops in finding the criminals.

And as we've reported many times, the cops and the press often hide the race/ethnicity of violent criminals unless they are White. And, when they do report on a White violent criminal they often make very sure you know the criminal is White.

So, with the above in mind, and just as a working theory based on the few facts revealed by the press and by the omission of other facts, we might  theorize for starters that there is a very high probability that the criminals in the above robbery aren't White. 

And, given the Westside location, we believe there is also a high probability that they are Latino.  And, since there were three of them involved in this robbery, we also think there is a high probability that they are gang members. 

And, we might even guess that since they needed money, that there is a high probability that they don't have regular jobs and that they may have a strong connection to illegal aliens and that they may use charity services on the Westside.

Naturally, if there were more facts given, the above working theory might change or  it might even be reinforced.

At any rate, be sure to help the cops with the information you know for sure from the newspaper: Three men robbed a store on W. 19th Street.

So, if you see any men on W. 19th Street, or maybe in the whole city, be sure to call the cops.

"Hello CMPD, hey I just saw some men in Costa Mesa.  They may be your suspects." 

Geez. Whatever happened to who, why, what, where, when and sometimes how?

The two major possibilities being discussed for Banning Ranch are:

1.  Put hundreds of homes there.

2.  Leave it as it is now.

Here's a third possibility:

3. If it is a done deal to build homes there, how about cutting back on the number of homes, but make those that are built more expensive and put in a marina that goes all the way up to Victoria?

And, while thinking out loud about this, if Costa Mesa is asked by our friends in Newport to give up something, such as the quiet enjoyment of our city because of increased traffic from Banning Ranch through Costa Mesa; which would help turn Costa Mesa into a series of large traffic island neighborhoods bounded  by freeways and ersatz freeways, and if our possibility # 3 above is ruled out, how about negotiating a way to extend the borders of Costa Mesa down to include a beach at the mouth of the Santa Ana River so Costa Mesa becomes a beach community?

UNINSURED CARS & ILLEGAL ALIENS OFF THE ROAD

Recently, the City of Dallas , Texas  passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance, the car is towed.

To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars.

Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. 80 + % of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released, they have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

Accident rates are going down and... Dallas ' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality.

Would this work in Costa Mesa?  Probably not.  Too many out of town CMPD union cops would rather play basketball and be pals with suspected illegal aliens.

Notice that it's some of the same haters and bigots who have constantly tried to smear and insult the good Councilmembers who are going negative on the good Councilmembers again. 

Some of these punks are blaming the good Councilmembers for the talk about a 19th Street bridge just as they blame them for almost everything.  These haters and bigots are very stupid people.

Here's the problem for this low I.Q. crew of haters and bigots.  It is not the good Councilmembers who are driving this talk of a bridge, but it may be the good Councilmembers who can deep six the bridge idea--if they want to deep six it.

Now, do you think the haters and bigots who have been attacking the good Councilmembers and their families are going to have the ears of the good Councilmembers?  Of course they won't.

You don't insult people and call them names and then ask for a favor.

Hell, the good Councilmembers might be so pissed off at all the abuse they've had to take from these creeps that they may just get out there and help build the bridge so that it goes right through the living rooms of some of the haters and bigots.
