OCEA AUDIT CLAIMS THERE ARE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS AVAILABLE FOR JOBS

Huh?  Is the City supposed to spend all our money on employees instead of fixing things in the city?

Can't we use some of our money to fix streets, buy up slum buildings and do other things that will improve Costa Mesa?

It's time we drained the swamp instead of just hiring more people to clean it and try to keep the alligators in check.

Once the swamp  is drained, the alligators will leave all on their own.  They like swamps.  Swamps attract them.

HOW TO RESTORE FAITH AND CONFIDENCE IN THE CMPD

Many citizens of Costa Mesa no longer have much faith or confidence in the CMPD.

What can the CMPD do to regain the  faith and confidence of the citizens of Costa Mesa?

--It can vow to keep the cops out of our local politics and to ask the cop unions to stop endorsing candidates and giving them money.

--It can stop cops from helping illegal aliens feel comfortable in Costa Mesa.  At last night's meeting, a guy who works with a charity in the Shalimar slum praised the CMPD for sending officers to schmooze with suspected illegal aliens in the slum.

--It can encourage more cops--including the chief and top brass--to actually live here in Costa Mesa and become our neighbors and important parts of our community. We don't need cops who act like an invading force.

--It can have cops actually respond to quality of life calls instead of clearing the calls with "unable to locate" (which is often a lie).

--It can get rid of the haters and bigots in the department.  Many of these can be located by properly using their hate filled comments in the Daily Pilot.  Clearly, some of these haters and bigots have psychological problems and need to be shown the door.

There's more, but the above five suggestions would go a long way to regaining the trust and confidence of the citizens of Costa Mesa.

CITY COUNCIL CONTINUES TO TAKE BACK CITY FROM OUT OF TOWNERS--APPROVES CUTS AND BUDGET

Once again last night, the four good Councilmembers--Monahan, Righeimer, Bever and Mensinger--showed that they can't be intimidated or bought off to keep making Costa Mesa the ATM machine for out of town union types.

Leece, as usual, voted for the out of towners.  Poor Wendy has turned into a complete shill for out of towners and she looks more and more foolish with each City Council meeting.

Also, as expected, the usual boorish haters and bigots were in the audience trying to intimidate the Council.

The haters and bigots lost.  The citizens of Costa Mesa won.

City to schedule Council study session on employees association’s audit of Costa Mesa budget

Costa Mesa's City CEO Tom Hatch said today that he will thoroughly review the financial analysis of Costa Mesa’s budget paid for by the Orange County Employees Assn. as soon as he gets a complete copy and will then  schedule a City Council study session to discuss the findings.

The Orange County Employees Assn. provided Hatch an executive summary of the analysis, and  Mayor Gary Monahan will give the association time at this evening’s City Council meeting to summarize the findings.

“Once we have the audit in hand, we will provide a full response as quickly as possible,” Hatch said. “I’ll also ask the association to make a presentation at a council study session so the Council members and public can have a thorough understanding of what’s being proposed.”

The CM PRESS believes it is a mistake to just let the OCEA make a presentation based on a bullet point executive summary, unless there is a rapid response counter presentation from the City's financial department presented just after the OCEA presentation.

What is likely to happen tonight is that the OCEA will trot out some partial figures based on union favorable assumptions and projections that will put the City in a bad light.

Unless there is an immediate response from the City, those figures will grow legs and be used for PR purposes to bash the City Council until the City can respond at a study session.

Staveley is a liberal politician!  Now his nasty and unprofessional resignation letter makes more sense.

Who in the hell vetted this guy before turning the CMPD over to him?

Couldn't it have been anticipated that he would fight the City Council and the citizens of Costa Mesa and be for the unions and out of town union employees?

It's too bad that most of the money we pay our employees isn't circulated right here in Costa Mesa but goes to other cities at the close of city business each day.

WHAT HAPPENED TO STAVELEY?
[Yes, in case you were wondering, we often use the A-Frame sign on a trailer as the symbol for the CMPD.]
Sure, Chief Staveley is a retired cop and the years may have caught up with him, but the resignation letter he sent was so beyond the pale, so self-destructive, so unprofessional and so childish that one has to feel sorry for the guy.

A letter so devoid of facts, so full of name calling, so replete with invective is not the sort of letter one expects from a top executive and someone who was gifted with a caretaker position until a permanent chief could be found.

One has to wonder if the toxic internal politics and the hate and bigotry coming from the lefty clique within the CMPD are so strong and mind numbing that Staveley simply got caught up in the arrogant and unprofessional culture that appears to be the stock in trade of a few individuals in the department who may wield far more influence than they should and who want to control the City Council and the city for their own benefit and to use their uniforms to push their lefty agenda.

HERE'S CEO HATCH'S RESPONSE TO STAVELEY'S UNPROFESSIONAL RESIGNATION LETTER

Folks, as I write this, it's 7:42 AM on June 21.  I just got this press release this very minute. You will note that the press release linked to above is dated June 20.

Why did this take so long to get to the CM PRESS?  I actually had to read it first on an out of town liberal blog.

Because the libs got Hatch's press release first, they were able to spin things their way instead of just presenting what Mr. Hatch had to say as I've done above so you can make up your own mind.

The City has to do a better job of communicating in a timely fashion or the PR war will be lost.

A WHOPPING 82% OF COSTA MESA'S 575 EMPLOYEES DON'T CHOOSE TO LIVE IN THIS CITY

Yet, many of these out of town employees have been used to running Costa Mesa for years.

Now that we have a City Council that is trying to take control of this city for those who actually do live here, we are seeing the out of town employee unions having all sorts of hissy fits.

And, what about the budget and layoffs?  Even if the City is not going broke, should we still pay more for services that we can get them elsewhere?  Is that how you do things in your family?  Do you pay more for a gallon of milk at one store when you can get the same thing at a much better price at the store next door?

Folks, what is going on in Costa Mesa right now, is more than just about a budget.  It's about who runs Costa Mesa.

Our view at the CM PRESS has always been that it is the citizens of a city who should be in charge.  And, that's the way our electoral system is set up.  We get to vote for members of the City Council who will supposedly act in our best interests.  Why would they act in our best interests?  Because they also live here in Costa Mesa.

Unfortunately, the system has become corrupt and out of town unions have been able to buy Council members over the years who then pay back the out of town unions with golden goose contracts that screw the citizens of the city.

The majority on the Council is trying to stop that.  They're trying to give the government back to the citizens of Costa Mesa.

OUT OF TOWN SHILLS CAN'T THINK IN A STRAIGHT LINE

Take a look at the comment from JCaldwell below that follows the article about Staveley taking a hike.  This commenter obviously doesn't live in Costa Mesa or he or she would know that Staveley is not an iconic figure and that he wasn't building CM into an ever better city while the Councilmembers were in diapers.

[UPDATE]  Here's the OC REGISTER article on Staveley quitting.

Staveley sounds very unprofessional.

Naturally, that birdbrain Wendy Leece who received the support of the cops in the last election, has chirped her usual low brow nonsense about the Council moving "too fast."

Everything seems to be too fast for Leece.  She's apparently a very slow thinker.  We imagine that if City Hall had caught on fire last week she'd still be telling everyone to slow down about getting out of the building.

INTERIM POLICE CHIEF STAVELEY PACKS IT IN

Chief Staveley is a retired cop who was  hired as a temporary caretaker until a new permanent chief could be hired.

Unfortunately, it appears that  Staveley may have gotten too emotionally involved in his recommendations to the City Council, and because they are apparently not being accepted, he has decided to leave.

Stavely was last in the news, it may be remembered, when he apparently didn't realize that the report he had received on Huy Pham showed cocaine in Pham's system.

Then, when it finally came out that there was cocaine, Stavely indicated that the results might not really show cocaine but might be a false positive from other medications, including a topical solution used for injuries.  This was quickly shot down by medical personnel.

HAS THE POLICE CHIEF SELECTION PROCESS BEEN COMPROMISED?

In comments following the Daily Pilot column about possible reductions in the CMPD [HERE] we see the following comment from Greg Ridge who, as usual, is hiding behind the name Gericault77:

"Gericault77 at 7:33 AM June 18, 2011

"Dr. Kirk Bauermiester sat on the citizen panel and made the same recommendation. This council isn't listening to ANYBODY. Unlike you....who should not be listening to thiose voces in your head."

However, Bill Lobdell just emailed the CM PRESS and said:

"There was no citizen panel on police reductions."

So, maybe Ridge got things mixed up (not an unlikely possibility with this guy who even spelled Bauermeister's name wrong) and could it be that Bauermeister is actually on the police chief selection panel, not on the non-existent police reduction panel?

Well, Lobdell has this to Say about that:

"Until a new police chief is selected, the names of the panelists (citizen, employee and police) are confidential so the process can't be influenced."

The main questions now are: Is Bauermeister on the panel to select a new police chief or not?  And, if he is, then how did Ridge learn about it if this is supposed to be confidential?  And, has the process to select a new police chief now been compromised?

NB: As you may know, Kirk Bauermeister is the principal at Estancia High School--the same place where Joel Flores of chest bump fame works.

FOLLOW THE OUT OF TOWN COP UNION MONEY

As you may recall, the CM PRESS did follow the out of town cop union money before the last election.

In fact, we even published the legally required disclosure forms showing  money going to Costa Mesa First from the out of town cop unions.

Costa Mesa First is or was Greg Ridge and Sandy Genis. Ridge is the punk who keeps trying to smear me by throwing my name into posts where there is no logical reason to do so. He hides behind the name "Gericault" or "Gericault77."

If you want to see those forms again, just go back to CM PRESS # 282 of October 10, 2010, CM PRESS # 285 of October 13, 2010 and CM PRESS # 295 of October 23, 2010.

What was happening back then was that the out of town cop unions were giving money to Costa Mesa First (Ridge and Genis, remember), which  used some of that money in  trying to defeat Jim Righeimer by buying signs and printing leaflets for  Chris McEvoy and to prop up Wendy Leece.

When you hear Leece, who lives in a gated community, now self-righteously say we shouldn't reduce the size of the police department or contract with the sheriff or cut back the helicopter, you should remember all the money the out of town cop unions used on Leece's behalf.

Why is any of the above relevant now?

Because some of the out of town cops--with a few local shills and boot lickers--are still trying to control our city and dictate to the City Council about what the Council should do or not do to get our financial house in order.

Most thinking citizens of Costa Mesa don't want out of town cops to run our city.

These thinking citizens want our city run by people who live here.

They want people who have their kids in our schools, who shop in our markets, who sleep in homes in Costa Mesa to determine what is right for Costa Mesa.

All the City Councilmembers fill the bill. They live in Costa Mesa.  They have their kids in our schools.  They shop in our markets.  They sleep in homes here in Costa Mesa.

The City Councilmembers are the representatives of the citizens of Costa Mesa.  They are the ones who make the decisions--not the out of town cops or other out of town employees.

Despite all the talk from the chicken littles about Costa Mesa becoming unsafe or unlivable, the fact is that the City Council members don't want an unsafe city or a city that doesn't deliver necessary services to residents--because they and their families live with the conditions that exist or will exist in this city.

How about having the NMUSD stop paying full salaries to two superintendents--one who is actually working and the other who is on leave to fight criminal charges up in Los Angeles?

Then, use that money to help pay for the cops on campus.

BTW, Katrina Foley was the only school board member who didn't want to keep paying the super who's in legal trouble. The rest treat the NMUSD as some sort of private club  and they circle the wagons to protect board members and staff that they work closely with.

With fewer out of town cops on the force trying to buy councilmembers to do their bidding, there will also be fewer cops to hook A-Frame  signs, such as the one pictured, behind their Cadillac Escalades to drag around town to try to smear a candidate and embarrass him in front of his kids.

GREG RIDGE USES MY NAME IN VAIN AGAIN
[The guy in the photo with the idiot's smile on his face  is Greg Ridge as he appeared in the OC Register.]

Greg Ridge, who hides behind the name Gericault (pity the long dead real Gericault who must be turning over in his grave), crawled out from under his rock to post his latest egregious and childish attempt at a smear today as he posted this in the Daily Pilot today:

Gericault77 at 9:56 AM June 17, 2011
$175 an hr, so Millard and his Kool aid Cadre can satisfy their sick conspiracy theories.......this City has jumped the Shark. [Link to full article with all comments.]

Huh?  When I first read the above, I didn't even know what sick or even un-sick conspiracy theories this guy was talking about.  And "Kool aid Cadre"?  Whodat?

I searched my memory banks. Hmmm. Suddenly, my eyes narrowed to a squint. Read on and you'll see that Ridge may have inadvertently revealed something.

Never trust  fools if you're a conspirator, they just can't help but blabbing. It's a function of a low I.Q.

Now, before we go on, you'll note that there was no reason for Ridge to use my name.  I'm  not the subject of the story.  I didn't write the story.  My name doesn't appear in the story.  I have nothing to do with the story.

So what was it that oozed up from Ridge's shallow subconscious mind into the bright light of day?

"Cuckoo, cuckoo."  Well, yes, that oozed up, but there's more.

Hmmm. "Conspiracy."

I wondered. Where had I heard that term used in a context where it doesn't belong before like this?

Aha! Got it.  I've written about this previously, but here it is again:

Sometime ago, a CMPD cop stopped me as I was legally driving down the street.  The cop had apparently seen me getting into the CM PRESSMOBILE as he was driving by on a street perpendicular to where the pressmobile was parked.

As I drove onto the the main street, I could see the cop car about a half mile ahead of me on an otherwise deserted street going in the same direction as I was.

Suddenly, the cop did a u-turn in the middle of the street and came back my way.  He passed slowly by my car while staring at me--"stink eye" comes to mind--apparently to make sure it was me.

Presumably being satisfied that I was who he thought I was, he then did another u-turn and pulled in right behind the pressmobile, which was in the slow lane, and tailgated me very closely for about a quarter of a mile. I mean, this guy was right on my rear bumper.

After witnessing his u-turns I had purposely slowed down to be sure I was just under the speed limit by a couple of mph so I wouldn't get a speeding ticket.

Finally, he pulled me over.  I asked why.  He replied "Impeding."  Impeding? The street was empty of cars except for the CMPD vehicle and mine, and this cop purposely went out of his way to get behind the pressmobile in the slow lane.  Had he so chosen, he could have used the other lane.  This was obviously a crock and was nothing but harassment.

Even though they are required to have them showing, this cop had no badge and no name tag on his uniform.  He wasted my time for about 15 minutes and then let me go with no citation.

One thing that the cop said before letting me go was odd and this brings me back to Ridge who, you will recall, got money from the cop union, under the aegis of Costa Mesa First, to try to defeat Jim Righeimer.  Without any cue from me, the cop suddenly, out of the blue, blurted out: "This isn't a conspiracy."  Huh?  I hadn't said anything about a conspiracy at all. In fact, I had said nothing at all but to politely ask why I was being stopped and for the cop's name.

This same cop got into a bar fight about a month later and this was widely reported.

Hmmm. Maybe there really is a conspiracy.  Remember, a conspiracy only takes two people. What else are we to think when we have lefties and cops denying that there is a conspiracy when no one has even mentioned one in the first place? Me thinks they doth protest too much and without good reason to doth protest.

So, tell us Ridge, what conspiracy theories do you think are out there?  Do they involve you and some cops? Do people think you're getting leaked information from some in the CMPD?  Do you know the cop who stopped me?  Why did both of you bring up conspiracy theories out of the blue this way?

Costa Mesa PD seems to want to hide the race/ethnicity of outstanding violent criminal suspects unless they're white.

STEVE SMITH'S COLUMN ON THE HOMELESS PROBLEM

Smith indicates  that you and your kids are safe in Lions Park because not all the homeless people are crazy and will attack you or your kids.

Of course, Smith is right. Not all the homeless people will attack you or your kids.

But, it only takes one to attack, doesn't it?  In life, you have to play the odds and you aren't under any obligation to waste your time sorting such things out.

And, doesn't your common sense and your instinct for survival tell you that there is more danger and situations you'd rather avoid in a park full of adult men and women who are hanging around a park all the time and who don't have bathrooms or showers and with enough of them appearing to have mental problems or drinking or drug problems, than if you were in a park full of mothers and their children?

Now, let's turn to sharks.

If you know that there are sharks in the ocean near a swimming beach, can we say that you shouldn't be afraid to go into the water since, statistically, most sharks won't attack you?

What?  You say that you're not put on this Earth to sort out which sharks will attack you and which ones won't and that you'd rather not waste your time trying to do so and that you just want a beach with no sharks?  You might also say that there is no benefit to you in even trying to sort it out and that you'd just as soon not swim with any sharks at all.

How insensitive of you.

But, libs don't think that way.  They want you to waste your time and possibly put yourself in danger to consider the character of each individual shark or homeless person.

BE SURE TO READ THE HATE FILLED COMMENTS AFTER ARTICLES IN THE DAILY PILOT

Here's a good place to start.

Most of the serial name calling haters and bigots appear to be city employees.  Many also claim to be cops.

The arrogance and hatred for Costa Mesans just seeps through most of these comments and as you know from reading the CM PRESS, most of these employees don't even live in this city that pays them so well.

Can you imagine having a job and feeling that you are owed that job or that you are entitled to it and that your employer can never lay you off or fire you?  That's one of the attitudes that comes through strong and clear from these people.

When you read such comments, it makes you wonder why the City Council doesn't lay off every single employee and start fresh with a new crop that won't be fed the hogwash that they're part of a "family," and who will be expected to show up on time for work, do a full shift and have respect for the citizens of this city.

And, speaking of respect.  Wouldn't it be nice to have a complete top to bottom police department with cops who do respect the citizens of this city instead of one that allows some thugs in the ranks who try to smear citizens and who use their badges and uniforms to intimidate citizens and elect puppets to do their bidding?

RIGHT SIZE MUNCIPAL GOVERNMENT AND HAVE IT SERVE THE PEOPLE OF COSTA MESA NOT THE OUT OF TOWN EMPLOYEES

We see some comments from some people who complain that the present proposed layoffs and other cuts to our municipal government and its budget aren't necessary because the city has found money over here or a way to do some tricky accounting over there.  The import of their remarks is to keep the status quo.

We disagree.

We've long thought that local government has gotten out of control and too often just serves itself.  And, with impunity.

We think the New City Council is on the right track and we think they should keep cutting even if the city won't fall into the ocean if they don't.

We do hope that they'll change some old priorities and start paying attention to the Westside.

RIGHEIMER WANTS MORE SAVINGS FROM BUDGET

Mayor Pro Tem Jim Righeimer did the right thing at yesterday's budget meeting when he asked City CEO Tom Hatch to come back to the Council with another $2.9 million in cuts so this money can be used in the vehicle replacement fund and the rainy day fund.

This shows that Righeimer isn't being cowed by the haters and bigots and will do the right thing for the citizens of this city.

Keep up the good work Mr. Righeimer, but as you do so please see if you can find some money in the budget to start thinning out the slums and putting in pocket parks and doing other things to fix the broken Westside.

INTERIM POLICE CHIEF STAVELEY SAYS THERE WON'T BE ENOUGH COPS TO HANDLE CALLS ABOUT UNLICENSED ICE CREAM TRUCKS

Actually, Chief, and with all due respect, before you were on board, and while the police force had staffing of 160 +- officers, many officers wouldn't respond to such calls anyway.

Many just sneered at citizens.  In fact, one of the motivations for Assemblyman Mansoor to get into local politics was because the cops wouldn't do anything about such nuisances in his then neighborhood.

I could fill several pages with complaints I've heard about some CMPD cops.

WONDER WHERE ALL THE MONEY YOU PAY CITY EMPLOYEES GOES AT NIGHT TO CIRCULATE IN GROCERY STORES AND WITH OTHER MERCHANTS? WONDER WHERE THE EMPLOYEES PUT THEIR KIDS IN SCHOOLS AND WHERE THEY ARE PART OF A COMMUNITY?

We have the five-digit zip codes of where all city employees live.

49 employees take your money to Huntington Beach.
43 employees take your money to Santa Ana.
39 employees take your money to Irvine.
32 employees take your money to Mission Viejo.
29 employees take your money to Corona.
29 employees take your money to Laguna Beach.
25 employees take your money to Orange.
22 employees take your money to Rancho Margarita.
22 employees take your money to Anaheim.
15 employees take your money to Tustin.
13 employees take your money to Westminster.
11 employees take your money to Lake Forest.
10 employees take your money to Newport Beach.
10 employees take your money to Coto de Caza.

We've just shown the double digit money drain above.  There are many other individual employees who go back to Pomona, Carlsbad, Oceanside, SanMarcos, Lake Elsinore, Idyllwild, Moreno Valley, etc.

Of the 575 employee zip codes we have, 472 of them are not in Costa Mesa.

TRUST US WE'RE THE COSTA MESA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Wonder why Steve Mensinger didn't bother to file a police report over the hate crime attack on him?

Check out the sign that some cops came to our city and dragged around behind a Cadillac Escalade as they tried to defeat Jim Righeimer and put a puppet with a DUI on his record on the City Council. Say, what about all that holier than thou talk from the CMPD about drinking and driving?

And, what about the cops who are leaking internal police matters to the public in frequent hate comments in the Daily Pilot?

Don't forget about the cop who used a department GPS device to stalk a woman.

Trust us we're the CMPD.  Right.

By the way, the daily papers are characterizing this attack on Mensinger as vandalism.

It's more than that.

Mensinger is a City Councilmember and he was apparently targeted as such and because of that.

This appears to be an attempt to terrorize Mensinger into not doing his job as a Councilmember.  This was like a warning from the mob to vote the way they want.  This was a horse's head in a bed.

Will the CMPD find these street terrorists?  Well, they still haven't found the person(s) who threw a brick through Skosh Monahan's bar window.

MINI-GOVERNMENTS ROBBING US BLIND

Read this expose in the OC REGISTER [HERE] and see if your blood doesn't boil.

The article says that the general manager of the Mesa Consolidated Water District receives  $ 278,424 a year in compensation.

Look folks,  the CM PRESS has been warning you for years about these mini governments--we have two of them in Costa Mesa; three, if you count the NMUSD (which is still paying a superintendent who is on leave due to legal problems): The Mesa Consolidated Water District and the Costa Mesa Sanitary District.  Each one of these mini-governments  has their own version of a city council.

When we've gone to Water District and Sanitary District meetings, we're usually the only ones there.

By the way, did you get the postcard about your water rates going up?  You can protest, but you may be the only one doing so.  People are apathetic and they just don't bother complaining or protesting.

IS IT TIME TO OUTSOURCE THE POLICE?

Many citizens of Costa Mesa fear that simply reorganizing the CMPD and hiring a new police chief may not be enough to get a police force that is trusted.

When trust is once lost, it's hard to regain.

UPDATE:  According to the Daily Pilot [HERE], Mr. Mensinger didn't file a police report with the CMPD.

Hmmm.  Now, why wouldn't he file a report with a department that has cops who come to our city and drag political signs behind their cars and that has some nutcases who write hate comments in the Daily Pilot and some who reveal internal CMPD business and some who try to elect puppets to the city council and some who refuse to even give proper descriptions of outstanding violent criminals running around our streets?

Maybe he just doesn't trust the CMPD?

BREAKING NEWS---HATE CRIME-ATTACK AGAINST COUNCIL MEMBER MENSINGER LAST NIGHT

The CM PRESS is getting early reports that haters and bigots attacked Council member Mensinger's home last night and did damage with painted slogans, apparently on his car(s) and on material used for Pop Warner football.

We are seeking confirmation and photos if available.

We know some are calling for the FBI to investigate this hate crime, but so far the CMPD says it can investigate it.  Right.  That's what they say.

By the way, the CMPD still hasn't found the person(s) who attacked Mayor Monahan's bar.

Can the CMPD be trusted to investigate this latest hate crime against a Council member?

Remember, some people who claim they're cops and who seem to have inside CMPD information have been posting hate comments in the Daily Pilot.  How about investigating them?

Marines are not the right troops to be used to hold ground.  That's the job of the Army.

On the other hand, if the U.S. gets serious and decides to really go after Qaddafi in Libya, an MEU would be the right choice.  Wham, bam, thank you Ma'am.  Job done.

THE PARITY SCAM EXPLAINED

Some people argue that Costa Mesa doesn't pay its employees too much and that their pension plans are in line with those of some other nearby cities.

This can  be called the parity scam.

What happens is that the employee unions try to buy a city council in one city in a geographic area by helping elect their paid union shills.  The bought and paid for city council then does the unions' bidding.

So, for example, if the unions are successful in getting their shills in the majority on a council  in  City A, their paid shills on the Council will give the union employees raises and expanded benefits.

Then, the union members in City B, will whine that they need parity with City A.

Next, the union members in Cities C, D, E, F, and on and on, will all demand parity with Cities A and B.

This is how the parity scam works and all it takes is for the unions to get control of one city council in a geographic area to start the ball rolling.

In a city with five council members, all the union has to do is elect three shills.  When they have only one shill, as we should all know, the scam doesn't work or it may be stopped.

ACCOUNTANT WANTS UTAH RESIDENTS TO PAY HIS FLDS LAND TRUST DEBTS

Background and summary: The Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints or Fundamentalist Mormons follow the original teachings of the early Mormon church.

The states of Utah, Arizona and Texas have been persecuting them for their beliefs.

A few years ago, a Utah judge put a non FLDS accountant in charge of FLDS property.  The accountant promptly ran up millions of dollars in debts.

Some believe this was a calculated and deliberate attempt to bankrupt and destroy the FLDS.

The FLDS refuses to pay him and they say that the judge and the accountant have violated their religious beliefs in what they have done.

The CM PRESS has gone to many Costa Mesa City Council meetings in which we've suggested to prior Councils that they should have staff stop putting BS and eyewash in the agendas and other reports.

We've told the Councils that if we were on the dais we wouldn't accept some of the reports that they are expected to read and that we'd return them to staff.

Our dictums: Make your reports short and put your most important points first.  Use simple declarative sentences.  Break up large paragraphs.

One shouldn't have to read a report several times to coax the correct meaning out of it.

A single page should be adequate to present most issues to the Council.

The assertions on that single page may be backed up by additional pages if necessary, but these additional pages are just supporting data.

ARE SOME OF OUR POLS GETTING DISTRACTED?

We won't give any names, but we wonder if some of our local politicians are starting to listen to nobodies with tiny brains.

In this Internet age, many low I.Q. types in Costa Mesa have blogs and post comments.

Everybody has an opinion, but not every opinion is equal. Some opinions are backed by grey matter, some aren't.  Some can be relied on, some can't.

GREAT WHITE FATHER LEFTY AT THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE TRIES TO EXPLAIN WHY THE PAPER DOESN'T GIVE RACIAL DESCRIPTIONS--AND SHOWS HE'S A MORON

He writes: "We do not reference race unless it is a fact that is central to telling the story."  The story in this case was about groups of "youths" attacking whites and other non-Blacks in Chicago.

You will note that the newspaper did report they were "youths."  So, we ask:  Is age any more central to telling the story than race?  And, of course, there's no sense in ever giving gender either.

So, maybe the newspaper should just report:  "Some people were attacked by some other people."

Ho hum.

Here's the truth:  Violent crime is not an equal opportunity employer.
