Anyone who can't afford to live in Costa Mesa should move to where they can afford to live. Isn't this just common sense?
Costa Mesa isn't an island out in the middle of the ocean cut off from the rest of the continent. Simply pack up your stuff, get in your car or on a bus and move to where you can afford to live.That's what most responsible people try to do. Don't do us any favors by staying here if you can't afford it. Our lives won't be improved by your presence.
I'd like to live down on Balboa, but I can't afford it. Should I just move down there and whine that Balboa should be made more affordable--maybe put in some run down buildings--so I can live there?
It is well said that the only constant in the universe is change. And, change is coming to the Westside...finally!

What a sad and sick group these haters are. So full of hate that the hate seems to be reflected in their various physical and emotional ailments. The power of negative thinking is not doing them any good healthwise, but most of them are too stupid to know this.
Fortunately, nature has kept the worst of them from being able to have children, so when these haters go out of existence through natural causes--and most of them are old enough, or sick enough (just look at them and you'll see what we mean), so that this could happen any day--the world will be rid of their particular hate and negativity forever and Costa Mesa can continue to improve to make this the great city it can be.
The haters won't be missed. Their meaningless lives are just that.

It is amusing to watch the constant complainers self destruct. As things in our city get better, they feel worse. They root for bad outcomes. Any story in the Pilot about our city or our Mayor and Geoff West immediately comes in with a snarky comment. I can feel his pain in his every word and I love it! Geoff and his gang cannot stay on subject of any article and have to resort to old grudges (the queen of that is someone named Karin Alf who has an apparent compulsive disorder for multiple comments on everything that really make no sense and don't relate to the subject.) , personal attacks, and generally denigrating others. This is beautiful! The mayor writes a column on the Westside, and Geoff West immediately says the campaign season has begun. Of course his campaign season has been going on daily for three years or more with his constant negative writings concerning anyone who does anything in this city, you know, the people who really care and perform-not sit behind a keyboard thinking his latest attack is humorous. I just wish the average CM resident was involved enough to read the comments from the constant complainers, the disgruntled goats who left the PD because of thin skin, etc. Chief Stavely, who was rejected by the voters in his bid for office is often held up by West as one to listen to. you know the guy with the famous meltdown who was replaced within two hours of the day he "quit" (before he could be fired). Well the voters sure didn't buy his crap! Genis runs to HB and tells them not to get involved in this fight(don't lease us helicopter protection), an admission of her participating in trying to bring this city down for her perceived political gain. Life is good here in CM and getting better. this is good for 90% of us, bad for the 10% who are just background noise, doing nothing for the city. So glad Leece is termed out and will be out of the political picture for at least two years. maybe she can win schoolboard back after her last bad beatdown trying for it.
