CM PRESS # 863

FEDOR VS. ROGERS, Saturday, Nov. 7, 6pm PST --CBS
LINK
That's a photo of Fedor on the left. Think he looks kind of soft and pudgy? Maybe a push over?

Watch the fight and you'll see why some call him the baddest man on the planet as he takes on a guy with a proper scowl who looks tough and who is 5 inches taller and many pounds heavier than Fedor.

Have pity on the big guy with the scowl.

We especially liked Ms. Kolasinski's comments about government waste (and there's plenty of it in local government) and her observations about how local government is destroying the naturalness of Fairview Park to put in trees (and other plants) that are claimed to be natural but which quickly die.

Why do those trees and plants die? Because, while they may have been natural here hundreds or thousands of years ago, they have not adapted and they are no longer natural here, and they can't compete and survive unless they are on costly life support and receive constant expensive care by the city.

We really need to get smarter people on the City Council. Even some of the people we supported in the past seem to have taken dumb pills and have become rubber stamps for whatever staff puts in front of them.

  1. Day laborer protest on Newport Blvd. at 18th, in front of The Closet continues. They were there yesterday as well. 7 men, two with large signs, most wearing identical t-shirts over other clothing and name tags, were there at 8:15am this morning. This is obviously organized.

  2. 10:20 AM--Still there. About seven of them. Grey sweatshirts or t-shirts with a large logo of some type on the front. Only sign I could read said "I am a worker."

  3. Doesn't Costa Mesa have a loitering law? Don't they need a permit to gather?
