Aw, geez, here we go, this churchly woman named Becks Heyhoe has a long and goofy column in the Daily Pilot in which she uses up most of her ink in giving us a long and boring metaphor about how she overcame her fear of heights by climbing a hill and golly, gush, gush, we can overcome our fears of homeless housing by being just like her.

Good grief!  What a load of crap.

This is one of the largest loads of hippy dippy, moon beam balderdash that we've seen in the Pilot in some time.

Folks, Costa Mesa does not have a homeless problem.  

We have a problem with pathological altruists,do-gooders and money making charity bosses who don't mind screwing up our city by erecting even more magnets (in your neighborhood, but not theirs) for homeless people, for the mentally insane, for criminals, for drunks and for druggies.

And, don't doubt that some of the do-gooders are also doing good for themselves as they make their livings by foisting their barely disguised new age religious beliefs and misplaced compassion on the rest of us as they try to force their ideas and their values down our throats.

Hey Heyhoe, go practice your religiously based missionary work in the third world and stop trying to make Costa Mesa the third world.  Or, if you can't do that, then how about putting in homeless housing in Mesa Verde?  If you want to do this latter, let us know and we'll help you publicize your efforts to build such housing in one of the parks in Mesa Verde.

In his letter, the mayor says the City is working hard to hire more police officers.  Hopefully, we'll get some top professionals who focus on police work and who won't try to put puppets on the City Council who will give away the store to unions.

It'd also be a nice switch if more of our police officers actually lived here in Costa Mesa, so their wives and kids faced the same daily problems that citizens face and so they and their families are part of the community.

As we've written before, California law won't allow cities to require that  their employees live in the cities where they work.  We think it's a stupid law and should be changed.

In Boston, all City employees must live in the City.  If any are found to not live there, they're fired.

We've heard the arguments by some police officers who say that they might find it uncomfortable if they live here and run into people they've arrested while they're out shopping or at football and baseball games and similar events.  We don't think this is a legitimate concern.  Firstly, Costa Mesa is large enough so that such contacts would be rare.  Secondly, most people won't even recognize most cops when they're out of uniform.

Hey, Costa Mesa City Council, how about following the lead of Newport Beach by putting in MORE parks in Costa Mesa by buying up some slum buildings and turning them into parks?

"We hold ourselves to a much higher standard here in Newport Beach."

Well, it's time that we here in Costa Mesa started holding ourselves to a much higher standard and stopped trying to be a new skid row by building more magnets for illegal aliens, homeless people, criminals, drunks, druggies and the flotsam and jetsam of LA and OC.

Remember when we were told that we should be a color blind society?  Well, that quickly failed and we started having affirmative action because when race wasn't considered, fewer Blacks were admitted to college and fewer passed police and fire exams.  So, then we had to consider race.

Now, the Feds say because, statistically, Black students in school get punished more than White students, it must be racism, so the Feds want schools to not punish Blacks who break the rules as much as they punish White students who break the rules.

Here's the reality behind this liberal madness:  It is the false world view that all races are the same.  With that one false thought--the modern equivalent that the Earth is flat--we see all sorts of screwball ideas that cost money and lives and keep many White individuals from taking advantage of their natural abilities to succeed in life.  What's the point of scoring high on police or fire exams, for example, if you won't get hired because you're White?

What ever happened to a merit based society in which the best and brightest moved to the top according to their abilities and efforts and not based on the color of their skin?

We attended last night's City Council meeting and took the opportunity during public comments to praise the anonymous folks who took the initiative to help make an unsafe trail at Fairview Park safe for the children.

This was much appreciated by the non-haters in the crowd who gave us many thumbs up as we finished our comments.

Of course, there was one lefty there who didn't like it. Yup, it was the Pot Bellied Lonely Old Man (PBLOM)  who you see in the two photos accompanying this column and who constantly whines and complains in his frequent comments in the Daily Pilot and elsewhere and who always seems to be on the verge of hysteria over the most minor things.

When we've had the displeasure of the pudgy PBLOM jiggling up to us like a bowl full of jelly to huff some childish twaddle, we've noticed that his voice gets strangulated and has a squeal like quality to it. We suspect it may be a nervous problem that occurs when he talks to men. No, don't write us about alternate, porcine, theories of the descent of man.

Now, folks, we try to be polite to most people; even to truly stupid people and lefties (but, as Mark Twain wrote, "I repeat myself"), when they're polite and rational (seldom occurring events), but we really don't suffer fools very well, so we've had to tell the PBLOM, more than once (he's a slow learner), that we don't want to talk to him...not even to say hello.  As with most shallow thinkers, and those lacking in generative qualities, he really has nothing insightful or original to say and is just a waste of time.

Outside the City Council meeting, there was a very loud crowd of people, apparently organized by Mercy House, DEMANDING that the citizens of Costa Mesa support free and low cost housing for homeless people.

Since when do the stable citizens of Costa Mesa owe free and low cost housing to homeless people who are flocking here for the freebies?  Where did that entitlement come from?

When we bought our homes, was there something in our deeds that told us we must allow free and low cost housing to be  built in our parks near our homes?

Was there something in our deeds that said we must honor the barely disguised religious values of some others, that are sometimes manifested as pathological altruism, when we may not share those values at all?

Larry Haynes, who heads up Mercy House, lives in Mesa Verde.  If he wants homeless housing in Costa Mesa, then he should try to get it put in near his home.

Some of the propaganda coming out about this proposed housing claims that home values are improved when this free and low cost housing goes in next door (we kid you not), so Larry's neighbors in Mesa Verde should be thrilled at the prospect of such housing in their neighborhood.

If Larry would like some help, the CM PRESS will even volunteer to help Larry publicize and distribute flyers in his Mesa Verde neighborhood to rally his neighbors to support this free and low cost homeless housing being put in a park in Mesa Verde.

THE FALLACY OF FALSE CAUSE

Yesterday, we ran a short piece that included this statement from the police chief of Detroit: 

“I got to Maine, where they give out lots of CCWs (carrying concealed weapon permits), and I had a stack of CCW permits I was denying; that was my orientation,” Craig said. “I changed my orientation real quick. Maine is one of the safest places in America. Clearly, suspects knew that good Americans were armed.”

In those few lines, the chief committed several logical  fallacies, but the two most egregious ones--under which additional ones may be subsumed-- are that he made a Hasty Generalization when he used too few examples to then posit a general rule.  And he also committed the fallacy of Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, or False Cause, and it is this latter fallacy that we so often encounter when we deal with humans and human problems, internationally, nationally and right here in Costa Mesa.

This False Cause fallacy pops up all the time when people want to be PC regarding race/ethnicity.

For example, some people say things such as: "Costa Mesa schools are bad."  They then go on to blame the teachers or the principals or the school district administration because the schools are "bad."  

Now, what do they mean when they say the schools are bad?  Poke them a little and they may reluctantly tell you that the schools have lower scores than schools, say in Newport Beach or Huntington Beach. But, of course, they are still equivocating and trying to not give a good answer.

 Poke them some more and a little harder and they may refine this a bit to say, "Well, the students are scoring low on standardized tests."   But, then they'll usually give you the false cause fallacy again to explain why, in their opinion, students in Costa Mesa on average score lower, as they once again blame the teachers or the principals or the school district administration.

Folks, Costa Mesa schools have the same quality teachers, principals, and school district administrators as Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.  They are not the problem.  Thinking so is to engage in the fallacy of false cause.

The reason that students, on average, in Costa Mesa score lower on standardized tests is because of the demographics of the students.  And, this reflects on the demographics of the City as a whole.

To improve Costa Mesa school scores, the demographics of Costa Mesa, as a city, need to be improved.  And, how does a City do that?  It attracts upwardly mobile people, not downwardly mobile people.

Do a simple mind experiment:  What do you think would happen to school scores in Newport Beach and Costa Mesa if we did nothing else but transfer all Costa Mesa students to Newport Beach schools and all Newport Beach students to Costa Mesa schools?   You know the answer:  Newport Beach schools would be bad and Costa Mesa schools would be good.

But this rooting out of fallacies in thinking and especially, as we did here, regarding the fallacy of False Cause, needs to be done in all areas where we deal with human beings and human problems.  

The truth is not always PC, but it remains the truth, and if we, as individuals, are to live happy, productive, and peaceful lives as we alone determine these things, then we have to start facing the truth that not all humans are the same, and not all distinct peoples are the same as other distinct peoples and that different groups of humans have different abilities and liabilities that are genetically determined.

It is no different with other species.  Plow horses are great for plowing and can't be matched in this by race horses, and race horses are great at running and can't be matched in this by plow horses. 

Genes are us.  Look to them first, fearlessly, when you consider human differences that show up statistically.

Newspaper quickly gets called anti-Semitic. Ho hum.  The newspaper's position is that naming Israel as a Jewish state is no different than it being an apartheid state.

In this, as in other related cases, the real issue is whether or not a so-called modern nation can be a state for just one people, be they Jews or Catholics or Whites or Blacks, or any other distinct group, or must every modern nation be a Star Wars Bar?

Are distinct peoples allowed to have their own nations?  Can they have self-determination?  Can they exclude those who are not their people? Must they have a blended nation? Can they have two classes of residents or citizens--one a smaller, elite ruling class and a second class of lowly workers who don't get to vote and who don't have the same rights as the ruling class?

DETROIT POLICE CHIEF: ARMED CITIZENS DETER CRIME

Detroit's police chief was with the LAPD and then he became police chief of Portland, Maine before becoming police chief of Detroit.

Here's what the chief said:

You can no more take race out of the equation when discussing human created problems such as violent crime, than you can take breed out of the equation when discussing dogs.

I love cars.  They are individual freedom and personal control.
I don't like mass transportation. It is lack of individual freedom and a lack of personal control.

With a car, you, as an individual, get some control over your destiny. You get to drive it where and when you want pretty much as you want.

Of course, with this freedom also comes personal responsibility.  You have to drive safely.  You have to be alert.  You have to watch all the other cars to avoid hitting them.  And, as you drive down the freeway, there are thousands of other free individuals all with the same freedom that you have and also with the same responsibilities to drive safely.

With mass transist you don't get to decide much. You don't get to choose the schedule or who rides with you and many other things.  You are just a herd animal. Others make most of the decisions for you.

Say, that's a little like Costa Mesa having a charter or not.

Those who value individual freedom and who like to be in the driver's seat like the idea of a charter since it gives us more local control right here in Costa Mesa.

And, those who don't want a charter?  Well, they're apparently not too much for individual freedom and personal responsibility.  They'd rather have the decisions made by others. They are herd animals. Mooooo, mooooo.

In fact, the governments of  the United States (HERE), Australia (HERE) and Canada (HERE) have apologized for letting Great White Mothers and Great White Fathers take non-White children away from their own people and cultures to be raised White.

WE WHITE MUTANTS

New research indicates that Whites may have diverged from other peoples about 10,000 years ago and actually became White people because of a tiny amino acid mutation called A111T found in Gene SLC24A5.

From the column: "[A]ll existing instances of this mutation originate from the same [one] person."

Call that One person the Adam and Eve of all Whites now alive.

Also call it the power of One. As I've written before, we see this power of One to cause a change in the direction a species takes in other organisms including a column I wrote about the Hass Avocado.  in brief, all  Hass Avocado trees and fruit were started by a single mutated tree in La Habra Heights, California.

I've also written longer columns about SLC24A5 and how seemingly minor changes at the genetic end of things can have far reaching effects as the organisms created as a result of those minor changes become fully formed individuals as we see in our everyday reality.

Mutations are the cause of variety in organisms, and natural selection then either eliminates those mutations, if they are harmful, or spreads them if they give the organism a survival advantage.

There are, of course, seemingly neutral mutations that are also spread that neither offer advantages or disadvantages that we are aware of, but these may persist in a population because genes usually do more than one thing and cause more than one effect and there may be other effects of these seemingly neutral mutations that do offer some survival advantage.

If you really want to understand the so-called human condition and the purpose and meaning of life, a little understanding of genetics and evolution along with some knowledge of physics will help you on the path.

The tiny brain, tiny herd of lefty, kook, haters are already pursing their flaccid lips and drooling their hate over in the Pilot about how unhappy they are that this magnet is leaving the city.  What a bunch of screwballs!

Folks, Costa Mesa doesn't have a homeless problem.  It has a problem with pathological altruists and screwy do-gooders bringing in ever more magnets in the form of services and freebies for homeless people, for parolees, for the mentally ill, for criminals.

Remove the magnets and their, er, "clients" will leave and go to where there are freebies.

It works this way with pigeons, coyotes, flat worms in a petri dish and with humans.

CM PRESS'S AXIOM # 1:  All organisms gravitate to where they feel comfortable.

CM PRESS'S COROLLARY TO AXIOM #1:  Free food, free shelter, free medical care, a population of pathological altruists and neurotic do-gooders who will sacrifice the peace of mind and safety of their neighbors, to help make homeless people, criminals, and the mentally ill, comfortable, causes those who want the freebies to gravitate to a city the way iron filings fly to a magnet.

Whenever the Daily Pilot runs a story/photos about Mayor Righeimer or Mayor Pro Tem Mensinger, at least one of the stupid haters is quick to make stupid comments after the story that seem to often follow these lines:

Stupid Hater:  "In the photo, Mensinger can be seen wearing a hat.  Very interesting and suspicious.  Why wasn't he wearing a hat when he talked about a tracking device being put on his car? And, did you notice that he put his right foot forward in the photo?  He was probably told to do that by Scott Baugh as the GOP tries to take over Costa Mesa."

How stupid can you be?  Honestly, folks, the good, decent citizens of Costa Mesa should be happy that the stupid haters open their yaps so much to show what fools they truly are.

MAN SHOT DURING HOME INVASION IN HUNTINGTON BEACH

The story is behind the OC Register's paywall, but it doesn't say much other than that the man shot at a residence in the 8300 block of Lambert Drive at around 3:25 a.m. this morning and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

As usual with the MSM, there is no description of the home invaders.  This usually means they're not White.  You know how that goes with the MSM.

PROPOSAL TO SPLIT CALIFORNIA INTO SIX STATES BEING FLOATED

It might make sense if states still had rights.

But, just to split up California into six different states, each with a state government burecracy and having the six states all be essentially the same Star Wars Bar entitites as all the others, and all doing what the feds want, doesn't make much sense.

FOUR WOUNDINGS AND A FUNERAL

A column about how some "average American looking or secular looking" Jews overlook Black attacks on themselves and other Jews and don't call them hate crimes because they believe the Black attackers probably just attacked because the Jews looked White, not Jewish. (Yes, you read that right.)

The writer then contrasts the above behavior of Jews who do not, at a glance, look identifiably Jewish, with the attacks on Hasidic Jews in New York, who are clearly identifiable not just as Whites but specifically as Jews because of their clothing, beards and hair styles.

However, in Crown Heights the Jewish victims know that the Black criminals are targeting them specifically as Jews, not as generic White Europeans. So the attacks were not anti-White but anti-Jewish. Now the concept of hate becomes useful to Jews. They can admit that Blacks are committing hate-crimes.

In other words, Jews are happy to be hated so long as they think they’re hated for being White. Remember that Brian Beutler and Matthew Norman nearly died at the hands of Blacks. They drew no racial conclusions from this.

Don't let this happen in Costa Mesa.  We've already had too many murders and attacks in our City by similar suspects.

When pathological altruist do-gooders butt into things, they often do more harm than good and especially to the stable residents of a city.

When the sun goes down, the do-gooders jump in their new cars (often purchased with money they made from their "charity" work) and go back to their own safe homes full of pride that they are good people and have made a difference.  Yeah, they made a difference.  They caused harm to stable citizens.
