EDITORIAL:  THE CM PRESS POSITION ON COSTA MESA CITY EMPLOYEES

1. The CM PRESS believes that Costa Mesa would be better off if ALL of our employees were City employees, but with the following provisos:

2.  All City employees--from top to bottom--should actually live in Costa Mesa.  New hires should move here.

3.  Wages and benefits should be roughly competitive with what outsourced employees would cost in pay and benefits. (We might pay a little more in pay and benefits, because we'd get it back since the employees would naturally give back simply by having themselves and their families here all the time and being members of our community, shopping here, having their kids in our schools, etc.)

That's it, folks, that's our simple three point, no nonsense, no quibbling, position on Costa Mesa City employees--and this has always been our position.

We've never talked to any of our Councilpeople about this, but it wouldn't surprise us if even those who talk about outsourcing would agree with the above. However, we don't want to put words in their mouths.

 And, there are a few other minor corrections we could make to the BNP column, but in our view, even without our corrections, it's still pretty accurate and worth a quick read as to why the neocons are working overtime to demonize Putin and the Russians with their usual ham handed propaganda and smear attempts.

One of the oldest tricks in the books. Demonize and isolate your opponent.  They did this at Ruby Ridge and at Waco.

We see the same type of attempts being tried against the mayor and mayor pro tem right here in Costa Mesa by the local haters.   Don't be gullible, folks.  Don't buy the lies of the haters internationally, nationally or locally.
