MEANWHILE IN COSTA MESA
Every election cycle, right here in Costa Mesa, we see some flash-in-the-pan candidates pop their heads
up, make some noise, talk to some know-nothings, and then, after they get whacked down and lose the election, they disappear, often never to be heard from again.

If Costa Mesa is to continue to improve, we need doers on the city council who have some ideas of their own that redound with improvement minded voters. We do not need do-nothing listeners who have no ideas and who have never been involved in improving the city but who apparently fell out of bed one day and decided to run for the council.
Hands before ears.
And, why are the "listening" candidates listening? It's because they have no core beliefs, no original ideas, nothing to say, and no strong reasons for running for the council other than, perhaps, they want their few minutes of local fame.

Folks, if you want to run for the council, then you should have more that you want to accomplish than simply wanting to pop your head up and wanting to run for the council. You should be fired up because you actually want to fix something that needs to be fixed in the city.You may recall that when Gary Monahan first ran for the council, lo those many years ago, he did so because the too intrusive city government was harassing a bar where Monahan was working.
The point is that if you run, you should have a strong reason to run to right some wrong or fix something. You shouldn't be wandering around the city aimlessly saying you just want to listen to people.
"Hello, I'm running for the city council because I want to listen. So please vote for me." Huh?

Looks like the bad actors at cmpd who left us because of the "toxic" environment created by their union will allow some fast track promotions to our existing and dedicated officers. This can't be bad for all the new officers who will be joining us in the future. they will have upward mobility also. interestingly the other blogger west who seems to be losing his following, says some current retirements are due to toxicity caused by Righiemer and Mensinger! Really, did no officers retire in the past? I think they are retiring because of 3 @50. these guys are going to make a lot of money by not working, all over 28 years of great service to us. the whole pd thing is backfiring on the loonies.

ReplyDeleteI was in the Army during the Watergate Hearings, and was able to watch a lot of it. Nixon was my Commander in Chief and it was very difficult for us during that period...I enlisted while others were dodging the draft...I was a Nixon supporter in many ways, but I was pissed he used a wrong tactic....
CMPD has many issues that need to be addressed....Criminal indictments will be coming...
As for the pot bellied pig....Far East West, it seems only knows how to turn left......This guy has nothing to actually add to life, and he is just so drunk with himself, with an ego that is so monumental, that he has created his own weather system inside that thick skull he screws on in the morning....
Kind of reminds me of a guy I knew we called AM/PM because he had a meth problem and would stay up 15 to 20 days straight...He made sense until about day 3...By day 20 he was no longer human...Funny thing was, he was fat as hell, even with all that junk in his blood....
