CM PRESS # 203

Another Story About The Black Parents in England And Their White Baby With Blond Hair and Blue Eyes

Link

Apparently, albinism hasn't been ruled out as reported in an earlier story.
However, if it is ruled out, then two explanations remain: long dormant Caucasian genes in the parents (which seems unlikely based on what they've said about their families), or a mutation.

A mutation would be the most intriguing for geneticists, evolutionists and naturalists since it might give a real world example of quick human evolution and, after study, the mechanisms of how it can work.

The Sad Thing Is That Too Many People Think The City Of Bell Is Unique
Link

Scratch the surface of, ah, wherever, and take a deep look at their various government bodies and ask some hard questions and you may be surprised at how much money some people make.

In Costa Mesa, in addition to the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency (the Councilmembers sit on both bodies) there are various other bodies that Councilmembers sit on.

And, Costa Mesa also has a separate agency for water and one for trash/sewer. Few citizens ever attend their meetings and the rates just keep going up and up and the tax cattle just keep paying without questioning.

A couple of years ago, the CM PRESS wrote some articles about the Costa Mesa Sanitary District buying trash containers that weren't as strong in drag tests as some others being considered. They also cost more than the other containers. We also wrote about how the family that was then picking up trash in Costa Mesa was also involved in the manufacture of these trash containers.

No one seemed to care, so we stopped writing about it. Maybe citizens will start caring now that the Bell mess is making big news. We won't hold our breath, though. Locals would rather defend local government because they get free concerts in the park and similar fluff.

And, what about the Council having screwed up priorities? How many times does the CM PRESS have to publish the statistics that show Costa Mesa is drifting ever lower and is closing in on Santa Ana at the bottom of the barrel, for people to understand that the Council is not spending our money to improve our City in meaningful ways that will make it a nicer and safer place to raise our families?

As we told the Council at Tuesday's meeting, every time citizens say that the City should start thinning out the functionally obsolete apartments in the City, that are breeding grounds for crime, the Council members grin and say we don't have any money, yet the Council just cut $ 8 million from the budget.

Have you noticed anything worse in YOUR life or neighborhood as a result of those cuts? Of course not. So, what does that tell you? It tells you that the Council could have used that $ 8 million to thin out the apartments.

Folks, we're going to have high crime, poor student school scores, lower than they should be property values and a fleeing middle class so long as the City Council keeps the slums in this city and so long as it keeps rewarding charities that welcome a criminal element.

This isn't difficult. If you have a swamp full of alligators, you can hire a huge police force to chase the alligators every time they eat someone, or you can drain the swamp and the alligators will leave all on their own. Why? Because all living organisms gravitate to where they feel comfortable. Alligators feel comfortable in swamps and gangs and criminals feel comfortable in slums.

Still No Name Released on the Shooter of Bondsman

It has been revealed, though, that the shooter has homes in Newport Beach and Arizona. Sounds like money and influence. Is that why his name is being kept out of the press?

  1. CM Press, I recognize two names here. The third, I know only from his rants at City Council. The question should be what have each of these candidates done for Costa Mesa over the past 4 years? Most of them, nothing. They simply fell out of bed and decided to run for Council. That's the last thing we need. To get my vote a candidate needs a track-record of working on Costa Mesa issues, not simply a last-minute decision to run under the rubric that the current majority has failed. Where have these folks been???
