Seems a restaurant reviewer over at the almost daily Daily Pilot gave a bad review to local restaurant institution El Matador (here).

Then, Pee...er...Brady Rhoades tried to backpedal by writing in his blog (here) that he likes the grub over there and he'll keep eating it.


Pee...er...Brady also wants readers (and possible advertisers) to know that, golly gosh, the almost daily Daily Pilot is, in Pee...er...Brady's, words "hyper local." Pee...er...Brady didn't mention anything about tacos at El Matador...oh wait...

The hyper local comment is in Pee...er..Brady's blog about vaginal rejuvenation shots (we kid you not) (here)that is immediately below his back pedaling blog.

If our stunt double for Pee...er...Brady in the photo above hits something while going backwards, he may be in the market for those vaginal rejuvenation shots, and maybe some dresses.

As you perhaps know, hyper local Pee...er...Brady actually lives in Fullerton, not Costa Mesa. And as you may divine, Fullerton is not exactly hyper local to Costa Mesa. In fact, it's not even local. It's really kind of distant. Not really hyper distant, but still distant. Sort of sub-hyper distant. Of course, Fullerton is still in Orange County (barely), but it sure as hell isn't in Costa Mesa and doesn't have the ocean almost touching some of its friggin' land.

It's not as though Pee...er...Brady--once he punches the time clock and goes home to Fullerton--is likely to go over to El Matador for dinner.

If Pee...er...Rhoades actually lived in Costa Mesa--and were immersed in the hyper local scene--he might have caught the bad review before it was printed and thus not piss off a potential advertiser (actually, we think El Matador may be an advertiser already),and local residents--some of whom have been going to El Matador for more than forty years and who don't like their restaurant choice devalidated.

Crime Rates

Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.

Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.

Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa.

Gangs

Only 10 percent of youth gang members are white.
Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely, and Asians are nine times more likely.

Incarceration

Between 1980 and 2003 the US incarceration rate more than tripled, from 139 to 482 per 100,000, and the number of prisoners increased from 320,000 to 1.39 million.

THE COLOR OF CRIME IN COSTA MESA

Most of the violent street crime and crimes involving weapons in Costa Mesa are committed by non-whites and primarily by Hispanics.

There are no white gangs in Costa Mesa.

Most of the gang members in Costa Mesa are Hispanic.

So, given The Color of Crime in Costa Mesa how do some in the CMPD proceed?

Well, as reported in previous editions of the CM PRESS, the CMPD has a few overly political and liberal officers on the force and their views are colored by liberal ideology, false assumptions, and skewed world views.

For example:

A couple of years ago, the CM PRESS used the California Public Records Act to view a presentation put on by the CMPD that Costa Mesa High School kids were forced to sit through.

What we saw was disturbing as it showed how out of touch some in the CMPD really are and the degree to which they are being propagandized(and maybe infiltrated)by outside liberal organizations.

The entire presentation, put on by a CMPD gang officer, talked about white gangs. The graphics were from a so-called anti-hate organization with an agenda.

Remember, there are no white gangs in Costa Mesa--this information comes directly from the CMPD--so why were kids forced to sit through such a presentation about the danger of white gangs? Pure left wing ideology and a lefty political agenda is the answer.

Then, even more recently, the CMPD prepared a report on gang violence in Costa Mesa that was presented to the City Council. The CM PRESS was there and we have a copy of the report.

The report clearly says there are no white gangs in Costa Mesa, but the only race/ethnicity mentioned in the report was "whites."

The words Latino, Hispanic, illegal aliens, immigrants weren't used once in the entire report even though all of the gangs in Costa Mesa are Hispanic.

In our view, the report was a clear attempt to white wash and gloss over the nature of the violent crime in our city and give the impression that our violent crime is an equal opportunity employer. It isn't.

If you buy the lefty PC line and think violent crime is an equal opportunity employer, then you're more likely to blunder into a dangerous situation not understanding the probabilities involved. If you do understand the probabilities, you may be a little more wary in some situations than in others.

We can't know for sure what was in the minds of the four dead cops in Oakland, but could it be that their brains were so full of PC nonsense that they treated the suspect the same way they might have treated a little old lady from Sweden?

Would they have been a little more on guard, and thus safer, if they had read The Color of Crime? Might they still be alive today, if they knew the facts about crime and played the percentages?

Newspapers complicit in hiding the truth and endangering the public
As we've reported many times before, liberal newspapers are often complicit in hiding the truth about violent crime by hiding racial/ethnic descriptions of violent criminals unless these criminals are white, and if they are white, the newspapers often make sure you know this fact.

GANG GRAFFITI IN NEW CONCRETE IN MESA NORTH THIS MORNING

UPDATE: 7:40 a.m.--Workers are now removing the graffiti by heating up the still uncured concrete with a torch and then scraping away the etched in names and symbols.  We'll bet you dollars to donuts that this graffiti wasn't reported to the City so that the punks who put the graffiti in the concrete could be tracked down and made to pay.

Several City Council meetings ago, the CM PRESS went to the podium to tell the Council that they were wasting our money by spending a couple of hundred thousand dollars to put new concrete in the alleys in the Fillmore-Coolidge slum, and that the money would be better spent as a down payment on buying one or more of the slum buildings and tearing them down.

Well, yesterday, the alley behind Fillmore Street (where there was a gang killing a couple of years ago) got the expensive concrete treatment.

This morning, there is gang graffiti etched into the concrete in the area closest to Paularino School.

Thank you for wasting our money City Council, and thank you for not listening to citizens.

Maybe, the self-aggrandizing piece of crap suck-up who claims he spoke to you in secret, and that's how the 19W. sign got put up, needs to talk to you in secret some more for you to take the right actions in this city.

COSTA MESA...

THE CM PRESS went to the Senior Center Board Meeting for a few minutes today to get some photos of the board, and who should show up but this...on your left.

This lonely old man apparently fashions himself as a cub reporter, and as is the case with some newbie cub reporters, he is unable to discern what is important to write about and what isn't, so he writes about minutiae.

Instead of sitting on a park bench and feeding pigeons, this guy apparently tries to assuage his empty reality, and perhaps get out of a lonely house that has never known the laughter of children, by going to meetings with lots of people around.

 Perhaps the crowds make him feel alive for a few hours (he seems to want to spend many, many hours in the crowds instead of going home to loneliness). He probably gets very sad when the long meetings are finally over and he's all alone again.

Frankly, I wasn't going to even mention this guy at all. I'm content to let him rot from the inside out at his own pace. But, after seeing how he went out of his way to try to insult me on his blog, I was almost going to publish some cutting stuff about him. However, I pulled it at the last minute out of pity. Yes, dear friends, I am a kind and compassionate person and especially to those who are well... and my sense of noblesse oblige is never buried too deeply.

He really does deserve pity.  He's the last of his line--a broken link in a family chain--and  as a result he's perhaps been having nightmares about his mortality and the non-existence that he faces.

So, he may be bitter about a wasted and meaningless life and that's why he is puts out so much negativity and hate. There is no future in his future. There is only the past. And, there is no going back to take a different path. Perhaps that's why he dwells so much on when he was a child and uses an avatar of himself when he was a little kid, and why he uses baby talk, such as calling his Brobdingnagian stomach his "tummy."  Isn't that cute?

The die is cast and he crossed the Rubicon many, many years ago.

I did see that he wrote that I look cadaverous.  And, since he appears to be grossly overweight I suppose anyone of normal weight may look cadaverous to him.

However, just in case you're curious. I had a routine physical a couple of weeks ago.  The results: All my vital signs--my weight, my BMI, my pulse rate, my blood pressure, my cholesterol, my respiratory rate--everything--are so normal and exactly where they should be that they're like what you'd see in a fit and healthy 20-year-old Marine.  In fact, I could fit into my old Marine Dress Blues right now just as in the past.

Every person who attempts to commit any crime, but fails, or is prevented or intercepted in its perpetration, shall be punished where no provision is made by law for the punishment of those attempts, as follows:

(a) If the crime attempted is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison, or by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170, the person guilty of the attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison or in a county jail, respectively, for one-half the term of imprisonment prescribed upon a conviction of the offense attempted. However, if the crime attempted is willful, deliberate, and premeditated murder, as defined in Section 189, the person guilty of that attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for life with the possibility of parole. If the crime attempted is any other one in which the maximum sentence is life imprisonment or death, the person guilty of the attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for five, seven, or nine years. The additional term provided in this section for attempted willful, deliberate, and premeditated murder shall not be imposed unless the fact that the attempted murder was willful, deliberate, and premeditated is charged in the accusatory pleading and admitted or found to be true by the trier of fact.

(b) If the crime attempted is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail, the person guilty of the attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in a county jail for a term not exceeding one-half the term of imprisonment prescribed upon a conviction of the offense attempted.

(c) If the offense so attempted is punishable by a fine, the offender convicted of that attempt shall be punished by a fine not exceeding one-half the largest fine which may be imposed upon a conviction of the offense attempted.

(d) If a crime is divided into degrees, an attempt to commit the crime may be of any of those degrees, and the punishment for the attempt shall be determined as provided by this section.

(e) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), if attempted murder is committed upon a peace officer or firefighter, as those terms are defined in paragraphs (7) and (9) of subdivision (a) of Section 190.2, a custodial officer, as that term is defined in subdivision (a) of Section 831 or subdivision (a) of Section 831.5, a custody assistant, as that term is defined in subdivision (a) of Section 831.7, or a nonsworn uniformed employee of a sheriff's department whose job entails the care or control of inmates in a detention facility, as defined in subdivision (c) of Section 289.6, and the person who commits the offense knows or reasonably should know that the victim is a peace officer, firefighter, custodial officer, custody assistant, or nonsworn uniformed employee of a sheriff's department engaged in the performance of his or her duties, the person guilty of the attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for life with the possibility of parole.

This subdivision shall apply if it is proven that a direct but ineffectual act was committed by one person toward killing another human being and the person committing the act harbored express malice aforethought, namely, a specific intent to unlawfully kill another human being. The Legislature finds and declares that this paragraph is declaratory of existing law.

(f) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), if the elements of subdivision (e) are proven in an attempted murder and it is also charged and admitted or found to be true by the trier of fact that the attempted murder was willful, deliberate, and premeditated, the person guilty of the attempt shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for 15 years to life. Article 2.5 (commencing with Section 2930) of Chapter 7 of Title 1 of Part 3 shall not apply to reduce this minimum term of 15 years in state prison, and the person shall not be released prior to serving 15 years' confinement.

518.  Extortion is the obtaining of property from another, with his
consent, or the obtaining of an official act of a public officer,
induced by a wrongful use of force or fear, or under color of
official right.


519.  Fear, such as will constitute extortion, may be induced by a
threat, either:
   1. To do an unlawful injury to the person or property of the
individual threatened or of a third person; or,
   2. To accuse the individual threatened, or a relative of his or
her, or member of his or her family, of a crime; or,
   3. To expose, or to impute to him, her, or them a deformity,
disgrace, or crime; or,
   4. To expose a secret affecting him, her, or them; or,
   5. To report his, her, or their immigration status or suspected
immigration status.


520.  Every person who extorts any money or other property from
another, under circumstances not amounting to robbery or carjacking,
by means of force, or any threat, such as is mentioned in Section
519, shall be punished by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision (h) of
Section 1170 for two, three or four years.



521.  Every person who commits any extortion under color of official
right, in cases for which a different punishment is not prescribed
in this Code, is guilty of a misdemeanor.



522.  Every person who, by any extortionate means, obtains from
another his signature to any paper or instrument, whereby, if such
signature were freely given, any property would be transferred, or
any debt, demand, charge, or right of action created, is punishable
in the same manner as if the actual delivery of such debt, demand,
charge, or right of action were obtained.



523.  Every person who, with intent to extort any money or other
property from another, sends or delivers to any person any letter or
other writing, whether subscribed or not, expressing or implying, or
adapted to imply, any threat such as is specified in Section 519, is
punishable in the same manner as if such money or property were
actually obtained by means of such threat.



524.  Every person who attempts, by means of any threat, such as is
specified in Section 519 of this code, to extort money or other
property from another is punishable by imprisonment in the county
jail not longer than one year or in the state prison or by fine not
exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both such fine and

525.  Upon conviction of a felony violation under this chapter, the

of a court, when in fact such paper, document or written, typed or
printed form is not an order or process of a court, is guilty of a
misdemeanor, and each separate delivery of any paper, document or
written, typed or printed form shall constitute a separate offense.




527.  Any person who shall sell or offer for sale, print, publish,
or distribute any paper, document or written, typed or printed form,
designed or calculated by its writing, typing or printing, or the
arrangement thereof, to cause or lead any person to believe it to be,
or that it will be used as an order or other process of a court when
in fact such paper, document or written, typed or printed form is
not to be used as the order or process of a court, is guilty of a
misdemeanor, and each separate publication, printing, distribution,
sale or offer to sell any such paper, document or written, typed or
printed form shall constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction
thereof in addition to any other sentence imposed the court may
order that all such papers or documents or written, typed or printed
forms in the possession or under the control of the person found
guilty of such misdemeanor shall be delivered to such court or the
clerk thereof for destruction.

So, the CM PRESS emailed the Board of Supervisors trying to get some updates, and we even emailed our own Supervisor John Moorlach twice, but we haven't gotten any replies.

Is there a cover-up going on? Do the establishment types just want the public to forget that this alleged hate crime has never been proven and seems odd? Want it swept under the rug?

Look folks, if this reported hate crime remains on the books as it is now, it will be used by the usual lefties, who make a living off make-believe hate, to get more tax payer money and to gin up support for more phony programs.

This case needs to be resolved. Either a real hate crime happened, or it didn't. The authorities should start releasing more information on this. As we've written before, we think the FBI should investigate this case.

Now, we weren't there to know exactly how the suspect got close to Lily. Maybe he asked for some change or asked for the time or for a match or used some similar ruse.

What we do know is that many victims--because of the temper of the times--simply aren't wary enough and they make the mistake of going with a suspect instead of fighting, screaming and running at the very start of the incident.

You should never, ever go with a suspect in such incidents (no matter his race). Your best chance of survival is in those first few minutes. Cause a commotion and put as much distance between you and the suspect as possible. If you're wrong about the suspect, so what? Your safety is paramount. Trust your gut. Most violent criminals give off subtle signals about their intent.

Is race relevant? Yes. An understanding of the statistics and probabilities may make you and your loved ones a little safer.

Interracial Crime

•Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving blacks and whites, blacks commit 85 percent and whites commit 15 percent.

•Blacks commit more violent crime against whites than against blacks. Forty-five percent of their victims are white, 43 percent are black, and 10 percent are Hispanic. When whites commit violent crime, only three percent of their victims are black.

•Blacks are an estimated 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit robbery.

•Blacks are 2.25 times more likely to commit officially-designated hate crimes against whites than vice versa.

IS THE CMPD UP TO ITS OLD WHITE WASH TRICKS?

In Tuesday's Daily Pilot [HERE], the suspect who held a knife to the neck of a 14-year-old kid on his way to school is described by a CMPD officer as "Latino."

But, later that day, the CM PRESS got a press release from the CMPD that says the robber is of  "Unknown identity or ethnicity,"  And, interestingly, in this later press release, we read that the suspect was "English speaking."  And, just in case you didn't get the implication, they then wrote in the comments "In clear English, the stranger...."  

That's the first time we can ever remember the CMPD going out of its way to emphasize or even mention that an attacker spoke "English" let alone "clear English."

So, why the difference in the description and why was such an emphasis put on the fact that the robber not only spoke "English," but "clear English"?  You know the reason. The later press release is trying to imply that the attacker wasn't Latino and might be White and to do this, since the original report has been stripped of the description of the suspect as "Latino," and in its place we read "Unknown identity or ethnicity," the report had to in some way make it appear that the suspect might be White. So, how do you do that if  you just indicated there is no clear identity? Bingo! You make a big point about the suspect not only speaking "English," but "clear English."

In past years...

In the past we've seen certain elements within the CMPD seemingly try to change perceptions about the violent crime in Costa Mesa. This would often take the form of hiding the race/ethnicity of suspects and arrestees who were non-White while putting the race of White suspects and arrestees front and center.

We've even reported more than once about a CMPD report to the city council on gangs in Costa Mesa that completely hid the fact that all seven gangs in Costa Mesa are non-White gangs.*

 In fact, in that report, the only mention of race/ethnicity was to ramble on about how in America there are White gangs, blah, blah, blah, and then add a toss away line that there are no White gangs in Costa Mesa.

So, why was "White" the only race/ethnicity mentioned in the report if White gangs are not a problem in Costa Mesa and why wasn't it mentioned that the seven gangs in the city that really are a problem are all non-White? After all, the report wasn't about crime or gangs in America, but crime and gangs in Costa Mesa. Could it be that this report was so written to fool a casual reader into thinking that violent crime in Costa Mesa is an equal opportunity employer or to hide the fact that the real problem in Costa Mesa is non-White gangs and that they are located mostly in our slum apartment buildings and often have a connection with illegal immigration and are primarily Latino?

And this...

We have in our files an account of a hate crime attack on a couple of young White kids on their way home from school, on a main street in Mesa del Mar, by a non-White gang that attacked the White kids simply because of the color of their skin.

The White kids were physically attacked with sticks and rocks, and a gun (possibly a pellet gun) was fired at the White kids but apparently misfired, The attackers used anti-White hate speech during the attack. The attackers also told the White kids that Whites weren't allowed to walk in that area of Mesa del Mar and they were threatened with more violence if they were ever seen walking home from school that way again. An ambulance was called and the White kids were treated for injuries. The CMPD took a report on scene and the cops were told about the hate crime nature of the attack BUT THEY LEFT THAT OUT OF THEIR REPORT. The gang members were subsequently arrested on minor charges and since there was no hate crime enhancement they got a slap on the wrist.

One of the White kids was so traumatized that he and his family quickly moved out of Costa Mesa. We lost a very nice family that was an asset to our community.

FAILED LIBERAL CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL JOHN STEPHENS HAS A REALLY STUPID COLUMN IN THE DAILY PILOT

Just another one of the Foley, Leece, Genis liberal clique trying to get Mayor Mensinger and Mayor Pro Tem Righeimer to drop their civil suit against the cop union.

This is something that M & R should not do.

Stephens claims that M & R have said they don't want monetary compensation for the wrongs they've endured.  If they said that, it's silly.  The way one receives justice in civil suits is by collecting damages (that means money).

Stephens makes a big deal in his column about the fact that no cops have been charged with criminal offenses. He even repeats this several times. He should have ended each of these repetitions with this word "yet."

He also tries to downplay some of the unethical and unprofessional things some cops have done by saying that they also aren't criminal acts.  Well, again, people in government and out of government are fired every day for doing things that may not be criminal but which violate the ethical codes of the organizations they work for.

You can pretty much disregard failed candidate Stephens and his goofy liberal opinions.

It's pretty funny to see all the libs trying to get M & R to drop their civil suit, when they have every legal right to try to be made whole.  All the suit does is follow the money in a rational and reasonable manner.  The cop union wasn't roped into this suit on a lark. The union paid the law firm that paid the private detectives. That's the money trail. It is along that trail where facts need to be discovered.

What Stephens should be arguing is for robust discovery to take place.  Let all the facts come out.  Let the chips fall where they may.  Let the system work as it is designed to work; and, to repeat, that means that discovery must take place.

THE LAW ON PERJURY IN CALIFORNIA

SECTION 118-131 

118.  (a) Every person who, having taken an oath that he or she will
testify, declare, depose, or certify truly before any competent
tribunal, officer, or person, in any of the cases in which the oath
may by law of the State of California be administered, willfully and
contrary to the oath, states as true any material matter which he or
she knows to be false, and every person who testifies, declares,
deposes, or certifies under penalty of perjury in any of the cases in
which the testimony, declarations, depositions, or certification is
permitted by law of the State of California under penalty of perjury
and willfully states as true any material matter which he or she
knows to be false, is guilty of perjury.
   This subdivision is applicable whether the statement, or the
testimony, declaration, deposition, or certification is made or
subscribed within or without the State of California.
   (b) No person shall be convicted of perjury where proof of falsity
rests solely upon contradiction by testimony of a single person
other than the defendant. Proof of falsity may be established by
direct or indirect evidence.



118.1.  Every peace officer who files any report with the agency
which employs him or her regarding the commission of any crime or any
investigation of any crime, if he or she knowingly and intentionally
makes any statement regarding any material matter in the report
which the officer knows to be false, whether or not the statement is
certified or otherwise expressly reported as true, is guilty of
filing a false report punishable by imprisonment in the county jail
for up to one year, or in the state prison for one, two, or three
years. This section shall not apply to the contents of any statement
which the peace officer attributes in the report to any other person.



118a.  Any person who, in any affidavit taken before any person
authorized to administer oaths, swears, affirms, declares, deposes,
or certifies that he will testify, declare, depose, or certify before
any competent tribunal, officer, or person, in any case then pending
or thereafter to be instituted, in any particular manner, or to any
particular fact, and in such affidavit willfully and contrary to such
oath states as true any material matter which he knows to be false,
is guilty of perjury. In any prosecution under this section, the
subsequent testimony of such person, in any action involving the
matters in such affidavit contained, which is contrary to any of the
matters in such affidavit contained, shall be prima facie evidence
that the matters in such affidavit were false.



119.  The term "oath," as used in the last two sections, includes an
affirmation and every other mode authorized by law of attesting the
truth of that which is stated.



120.  So much of an oath of office as relates to the future
performance of official duties is not such an oath as is intended by
the two preceding sections.


121.  It is no defense to a prosecution for perjury that the oath
was administered or taken in an irregular manner, or that the person
accused of perjury did not go before, or was not in the presence of,
the officer purporting to administer the oath, if such accused caused
or procured such officer to certify that the oath had been taken or
administered.



122.  It is no defense to a prosecution for perjury that the accused
was not competent to give the testimony, deposition, or certificate
of which falsehood is alleged. It is sufficient that he did give such
testimony or make such deposition or certificate.



123.  It is no defense to a prosecution for perjury that the accused
did not know the materiality of the false statement made by him; or
that it did not, in fact, affect the proceeding in or for which it
was made. It is sufficient that it was material, and might have been
used to affect such proceeding.


124.  The making of a deposition, affidavit or certificate is deemed
to be complete, within the provisions of this chapter, from the time
when it is delivered by the accused to any other person, with the
intent that it be uttered or published as true.



125.  An unqualified statement of that which one does not know to be
true is equivalent to a statement of that which one knows to be
false.


126.  Perjury is punishable by imprisonment pursuant to subdivision
(h) of Section 1170 for two, three or four years.



127.  Every person who willfully procures another person to commit
perjury is guilty of subornation of perjury, and is punishable in the
same manner as he would be if personally guilty of the perjury so
procured.


128.  Every person who, by willful perjury or subornation of perjury
procures the conviction and execution of any innocent person, is
punishable by death or life imprisonment without possibility of
parole. The penalty shall be determined pursuant to Sections 190.3
and 190.4.



129.  Every person who, being required by law to make any return,
statement, or report, under oath, willfully makes and delivers any
such return, statement, or report, purporting to be under oath,
knowing the same to be false in any particular, is guilty of perjury,
whether such oath was in fact taken or not.



131.  Every person in any matter under investigation for a violation
of the Corporate Securities Law of 1968 (Part 1 (commencing with
Section 25000) of Division 1 of Title 4 of the Corporations Code),
the California Commodity Law of 1990 (Chapter 1 (commencing with
Section 29500) of Division 4.5 of Title 4 of the Corporations Code),
Section 16755 of the Business and Professions Code, or in connection
with an investigation conducted by the head of a department of the
State of California relating to the business activities and subjects
under the jurisdiction of the department, who knowingly and willfully
falsifies, misrepresents, or conceals a material fact or makes any
materially false, fictitious, misleading, or fraudulent statement or
representation, and any person who knowingly and willfully procures
or causes another to violate this section, is guilty of a misdemeanor
punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year,
or by a fine not exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), or
by both that imprisonment and fine for each violation of this
section. This section does not apply to conduct charged as a
violation of Section 118 of this code.

IMPORTANT NEW RESEARCH POINTS TO THE POSSIBILITY THAT GENETIC MEMORIES MAY BE ABLE TO BE  PASSED FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

It has long been believed that the germ cells (sperm and eggs) are generally not affected by what happens in a person's life.  The usual example used is to say that if you have a limb cut off, your children will still be born with all their limbs.  The  extrapolation of this belief leads one to believe that almost nothing that the parents experience changes the germ cells.

This new research seems to indicate that is not true, and that actual memories (and perhaps more) apparently can be transferred to a new offspring and that the memories may be able to pass down over many generations.

Of course, this might explain the belief in reincarnation, which might just be genetic memories received in the DNA when one is born.

In addition, there are anecdotal stories of children being born with marks on their skin in the same spot where an ancestor had a wound of some sort, perhaps from a gun shot or knife.

\More research needs to be done in this area, and it now looks as though this will happen.
